Knicks · [GT 3/29/24 8PM] Knicks at Spurs (page 7)

Damn
VDesai @ 3/29/2024 10:50 PM
Brun went for the win on that - Knicks didnt have enough left to go to another OT. That was disappointing
fitzfarm @ 3/29/2024 10:50 PM
Fuck that the only reason they won is the free throw disparity. Refs memo make the spurs look good to hype up the off season … way to waste brunsons historic night. .

Thibs needs to do a Phil Jackson and start complaining in the media. They need to start putting pressure on these refs to make the call
MS @ 3/29/2024 10:51 PM
Bad loss. Jalen unbelievable as always! The boys always fight till the end. Mitch playing strong!

OG very concerning and a real problem.

NYknick4life @ 3/29/2024 10:53 PM
Precious is under the basket and passes the ball to Devo. Ahhh!

MaTT4281 wrote:Damn. Precious faked himself out.

When iHart picked up foul number 2 you knew it was going to be a tough night.
martin @ 3/29/2024 10:58 PM
I didn’t see whole game but Knicks shot 10-12 FTs and Spurs were 26-32?

And Brunson only shoots 6?

NYStateOfMind @ 3/29/2024 10:59 PM
Maybe Thibs told the team to go for the win on the road. JB missed his, so Precious swings to DDV for another attempt, just a thought. Tough loss, FT difference is a joke and some calls, ugh. Most chucks or tip balls went in or went their way tonight, 9-0 for Spurs to start the 4th sunk the game and why can't this team hit gimmes at the rim like the Spurs did all night? Frustrating game to watch and wasted team comeback and effort from JB. Mitch looks hurt, OG hurt, Randle seems a long shot lately, not very encouraging. Maybe Thibs waited too long to get JB back in?

Well that and that everyone aside from Brunson and DDV shot under 50%. If Hart or Miles or that waste of space Bogs hits their shots we win this game.
iHart and Robinson were a combined 6 for 16.

True, Brunson carried us tonight he really needs to be in consideration for mvp

Why he give Shake the early run? He didn't really bring anything and didn't play the rest of the game.

Literally can’t go a qtr without starting to limp —- always hobbling around just amazing.

32 to 12 free throws for Spurs —- Brunson shoots 47 times (what are we doing?) scores 61 points and gets 6 free throws (come on man).

Yup.

Not surprised. He’s been working hard on defense guarding someone bigger and taller who can shoot the lights out. He was working to get around screens all game. Plus JB shot 47 shots so deuce was cold. JB was the only hot man.

ToddTT @ 3/30/2024 7:48 AM
After sleeping on it... that game SUCKED!

I would have much preferred a W, JB setting the Knick record, and Mitch not looking hurt.

Oh well. At least we don't have to deal with Wemby in our conference for the next umpteen years.

It was a Heartbreakers.
Also, I was wondering about how the last 10 minutes of the game including overtime, the play was five Brunson the ball and everyone else clear out. I think there should have been a little more playmaking and a little less predictability. Didn't have a fieldgoal for like the first 4 mins of OT
TheGame @ 3/30/2024 9:05 AM
Brunson should have just kept shooting it. When overtime started, he tried to get other players involved and they did not come through. Games like this show why we need Randle. Brunson needs that other guy who can consistently go get a bucket.
EwingsGlass @ 3/30/2024 9:35 AM
Felt like that game was the Knicks vs the Spurs and Refs. 8 on 5. They still nearly pulled it off.
