Im trying to be cool but I also think we smoke them tonight. ESPECIALLY on offense the Knicks are very much a rhythm team. We are young. Its a mature 20s squad w/ Bogs who's also been a playoff sniper and has come out like a gunslinger.
Right now we are running a legit 8 deep. Deuce/Bogs/Mitch can play any time and with anyone else with the one obvious exception (Mitch and IHart are not playing together). Oubre was right... they are like starters. They play like starters and all mesh like starters. It's fucking wild.
I lurked on the 76rs board on Reddit and let me tell you they are confident. REALY confident. Here's the trending thoughts:
Knicks needed 3 3's from Josh who never hits 3s
Right, this time he hit FOUR 3's.
Knicks needed 20 from a bench scrub and that's not happening again (McBride)
No, because the Knicks don't hit you the same way every time. This time all 5 starters scored double figures. Including that scrub iHart 7 of 8
Donte is overrated
Totally, especially in the last 40 seconds.
Phili contained Brunson
Yup. So?
Knicks have no answer for Maxey who prolly drops 50
Nope, but nope
Maxey outplaying Brunson by a country mile.
Thank god for Knicks depth and team play, lots of guys had key plays, like every guy
Sixers should go fuck themselves
Game 1 starters were terrible and bench carried them, Deuce and Mitch were the heroes. Game 2, starters held it down and Deuce and Mitch’s direct counterparts, DDV and iHart were the heroes. This team just finds a way. We need and are due for a Brunson Burner game.
Sixers were out of timeouts. He couldn't have called one anyway.

Oh good call

I think we should start Sims next game and just foul Embiid the whole first quarter to wear him down. THen bring in Mitch
Watching that last play objectively there was no damn foul that should’ve been called to end a playoff game. Any contact is incidental and Nurse tried to call timeout after Maxey lost the ball.
Brunson’s gotta pick it up in a big way. We are winning by the skin of our teeth and he’s getting severely outplayed. I know Oubre is tough but we have OG guarding Maxey and he’s still dropping 35.
Embiid assured us in his postgame interview that Philly would win the series because they're the better team and that the refereeing was [effing] unacceptable. Time will tell if all their whining pays off.
Now they are crowding him and he’s a big reason other guys are finding so much success but we still need him to duel with Philly’s stars to win 4 out of 7

What play are they complaining about? The last play was fine and literally nothing should have been called. Maxey fell expecting to be fouled but never got fouled.

Knicks just defended home court. Won the ones they are supposed to win. If they steal one in Philly, then we can gloat.
We are winning with no Julius and Brunson not playing his usual way. This is great.
