Im not on the "Hate Joel" bandwagon. Thats just me. I see a PHilly fan base that is frustrated and an MVP whose body defies what he is capable of.

Where I mentioned a "rope-a-dope" where Philly came out strong and knicks exhausted them, I can see a reverse. Knicks knock them out early and Philly cannot mounts a comeback. No energy. Knicks are more capable to stay focused. Both teams will be shit faced tired.

What I fear? Embiid plays but focus on being a decoy. His defense is still good as a rim protector and he paces himself in a close game were his mates are more effective. Conserve energy for closing out strong. Good idea? Maybe, but it has to be executed. If knicks take a good lead they will need to erase it.

Nurse has to try something. His team is not closing strong.

Knicks deliver a knock out punch and team mails it in with white flag mentality? Thats my hope.

Philly is not exactly known for performing well when backs against the wall and after taking some haymakers. They are a team that has folded under that kind of pressure almost every year. I expect that to continue.

Haven't gotten past the second round with Embid am I wrong ?

Correct - they have never made the ECF despite having a "contending" team nearly every year since like 2017.

I think Achiuwa takes the extra time at PF and Sims grabs some time at C. Burks is not playoff ready, imo.

For a team wit tremendous depth we do seem to be running out of healthy players.

OG will get 40 mins at the 4 and Hart will get the other 8. You can give DDV and Deuce more mins in a 3 guard lineup which had a lot of success during the year. You don't necessarily need to tap into someone new. Deuce and DDV can absorb the minutes.

I'd prefer we don't run Precious at the 4 and I also don't want to start exploring with Burks deep into a series. Win the series and then figure out your rotation going forward during the time off in between.

As if it wasn't already an easy enough decision...

I actually do like hearing what the national guys are saying about the team though. Will have TNT pre game and halftime on, but during the game, there is no one better. And if they win, I'll take the homer post game

I listened to Zach Lowe’s podcast today and this was a big talking point on the Knicks section. Knicks are built different than all these teams “forced” to play their guys into the 40s. Just another day at the office for us.
