I seen this video on my timeline and bookmarked it for later. I was going to watch but that 13 minute watch time made me put it off for a little later. Since you put it here I am going to give it a watch and see whats up.
Notes:
He said the WNBA has potential to compete with the NBA. That will never happen.
I been a hardcore MMA fan for over a decade and he was wrong about that part also. Conor did not carry the UFC to success. They were already Successful and making ton of money. What Conor did was amplify an already successful company. I would also like to add he did not do it alone. A lot of people forget the Conor and Ronda eras of MMA overlapped. Both of them brought the UFC to knew levels but the UFC was also a juggernaut before them. If we are going to be honest it is because Know the business better than anyone and are not affraid to make cuthroat decisions that are in the best interest of the company.
He was 100% correct on the WNBA not liking CC because she is not like Paige. I mean the WNBA Player who came after CC on twitter basically admitted that.
He said the WNBA is 30% gay? He really undersold that amount by a lot. If I assume any WNBA player I don't know is gay and I would have an 85%+ to 90%+ accuracy.
I don't think he was right about A'ja not being marketable. She is but not to the same levels as a CC and is also limited by being in a league that did not get many eyes on it. Which is why CC is important to players like her.
He was right about A'ja bring up race about CC. I said as much in my previous posts. He also left out another instance where she did it.
I agree with his takes on jemele Hill and those like her in the media.
The tweet from Kim Tran he showed perfectly stated the situation in the WNBA.
He was talking the truth about the players/former players not being happy because CC was the face of the WNBA and was not a social activists. To add to his Paige example of them liking white girls when they prove to be social activists is Cameron Brink.
Oh this is getting good. He is even bringing up the Team USA/Lynx coach who was liking negative stuff about CC while she was still at IOWA. I brought this up in my previous posts. He did not cover all the instances but he did well touching on it.
He was right about the report about CC's popularity being a big reason why she did not make it. That report came from a very credible report who covered Team USA for way over 10 years. I forgot exactly how long because I did not think I would need to recall that later.
All you heard was CC was not good enough to make the team. However, she had better numbers than Diana and Chelsea gray had not played for over 9 months. This while seeing more blitzes than literal teams. No one even the MVP was getting defended harder than CC.
He touched on the money lost this year but I already told you why to ignore the money lost this year in a previous post.
Now to get into the real nasty side of CC drama. The race baiters. There are nasty race baiters on both sides. The amount of race baiters on CC's side increased a ton since she was blindsided by Carter. In response to protect the black players who were getting harassed the black race baiters multplied and now their whole agenda is to vilify and discredit CC. As a black dude who turned into a CC fan you would be surprised I am getting more race based negativity from the black race baiters. While a lot of the race baiters from both sides are still there it has toned down a lot and we are talking more about how terrible of a coach Sides is rather than social activitism and race these days. The WNBA also stopped beating CC up because they can no longer get away with it like back in the day. Too many eyes watch every CC games. So hopefully we are past the worst part of all of this and we can continue talking about the game of basketball.
