This is a list of agents and all their clients.
CAA is the largest talent agency in the world, and has the most money under contract in the NBA.

Click every agent if you wish and see who CAA has as clients. Then say to yourself how silly the CAA to knicks thing is.

Not ever CAA client will be a Knicks. If the Knicks are interested in a player and they are a CAA client, that probably increases the odds of acquiring them.

It’s a good reference point. Knicks target guys they have that relationship with. Not a coincidence OG became a true target once he switched to Sam Rose and CAA. Knicks likely fill out the roster with CAA free agents and target under the radar CAA guys via trade like AJ Griffin or Chris Duarte. Guys like that. Everything goes through CAA.

Y'all guess is as good as any.
The fable is a nice one. Its along list. They are the top agency.
Its not always "knicks are interested in". Often its the fan that connects the dots.
Statistically CAA being top dog its gonna happen.
Have some fun guys, im not calling out anyone. Its just funny.

As said before, CAA is a talent agency and MSG properties do book shows and concerts. Always made sense for Dolan to be cool with them and visa versa.

Haliburton is a CAA client. Trae Young. They coming too? LOL

Yes, I think OG wanted to be here and I would guess they already agreed on a price months ago. Optics are they need to make it look good so we'll sweat it out.

Clearly we can’t sign everyone, but our pool of options will be mostly CAA. Just look at the obvious. 5 of our top 6 players are CAA. The only one that isn’t might as well be which is Donte. Knicks have signed very few players not in CAA. Even Rokas is CAA. It’s pretty much what this team resolves around based on Leon’s presidency so far.

One has to consider if he took a 4 year deal the number would been higher, but then what does 80 over two, then say he is free in the new inflation era can he command still a good deal? Not 40 per, but Rockets were thinking his leadership and experience with that young team. They had sal cap to spend but over time it would get more expensive.
Rockets came a long way this past season. They are on the way up and have assets still in the cupboard. Building thru the draft is not easy and its filled with hits and misses. Adding leadership on short term deal makes sense. Its why iHart could get a two year big deal and then be free again. If its the thunder, pay the man big, then figure others will be stepping up and they will need that cap.

The FVV was fascinating and its why he bolted as he did. FVV could resign for obviously a lower number and be a role player which as he gets older might suite longevity. Not all players want to stick around for years and years. He has a chip, and has made a ton of money. There is more to life for some players. I don't know him or what his body is going thru.

lets be real, the careers of Mitch and KP have had some good moments for sure, and lots of money to be made. But if you spend more time rehabbing then playing at some point when is enough-enough? Money is an important part of it but if you got a family, and perhaps other intersts and things to do with your life maybe one moves on? Some players have a burning desire to keep playing and are healthy enough to still have fun.

Always fascinated me about Kareem Abdul Jabbar's career. He played, he wanted/needed money to fulfill many things. He had passions that required money. But hew as miserable for years. He seemed to find some happy ground later in his career and joy in playing.
Lebron loves it. Jordan was a sociopath who needed it and came back with Wiz. Kobe was kind of all over the place. Part Jordan, Part Lebron in make up. Was very consumed with his legacy.

We forget these players come to the spotlight as teens and leave as men with much growth and changes to whom they are. Kobe really put himself thru a lot getting married young and starting a family but wanting his "freedoms". I don't know the beef he had with his parents but it was not good by most accounts. The tragedy of his early death at least depicts a man who came to peace with himself to certain degree and was able to continue a family life that looked to have healed itself over time.
