I was in Lithuania earlier this year. Sabonis and his father are gods there and basketball is everything to that country they still watch the 2000 Olympics game when they almost beat USA. The Paris Olympics means everything to them

Do tell, were you visiting family? Business? Cultural/religous misson? This something you did for the first time or it was once home?

I think it's more than one. Unfortunately, I can't understand a single phucking thing the commentators are saying.

Where are the games broadcast. Do you need an old WWII ham radio to tune in?

I found a link. But there's also this site: https://www.courtside1891.basketball/gam.... But I'm not paying for the live stream, even though the cost is relatively cheap.

He didn't really stand out today. Also read that he was benched to start the second half of the game before.

Have not noticed Jacob Toppin being listed on Summer League roster and I believe we re-signed him recently to whatever type deal.

Wonder if he could be being kept out (avoid injury) and as potential piece to upcoming trade?

Not sure if above is possible but guess I'm expecting a trade to go down.

The Lakers and the Lickers

Watched the Lakers SL game yesterday. The Lakers had all the media ballsack Lickers in attendance ready to either pounce on the kid as a bust or pump him up as a potential talent.

After all the hype I was left with literally no impression of the kids game. He doesn't look ready yet. Kid needs to go into the incubator for a few years. With his size though the odds are against him unless he has another growth spurt left in him. He did come off as a little to cool for school which was a little too obvious when playing next to players who are playing with more urgency with a hint of desperation

Bronny will most likely never touch an nba floor again after he shares it with his dad on day 1.

He should stayed in college for 3-4 years. Then worked with the goal of earning rotation mins by the final year of his rookie scale deal. While him being able to play with his father is a great story, and who wouldn't want to do so if you have the ability to make that happen. Not sure if it was the best route for his actual development and career.

But he needs more games getting 30+mins as he reached higher level of comp. Right now he only got his freshman year and probably won't get much consistent rotational mins in the NBA unless Bron forces the issue which could also backfire towards his development.

Looks like Rokas had a solid game in loss to P.R. today and now could play in Vegas.

I'm going to say Lebron is being a little selfish about wanting to play with his boy at the expense of his development.

An extra year or two would've helped him...seems pretty obvious to me.

Nalod @ 7/8/2024 7:58 AM
I suppose if we hate Lebron, we hate Bronny.
So much written for th thee first practice of summer league and we have all kinds of predictions of his career.

His dad being "Selfish"? In the end Bronny will be given a chance as long as he can hang. Lebron has earned the right but has to make sure Bronny does not embarrass himself. Bronny has grown up with is dad the king so its not new. HE'll be ridiculed for the opportunity. He'll play GLeague and if he can do well enough, get a call up for an injury and maybe play some junk minutes with dad. Dream accomplished. The rest will be earned.

Bronny has the luxury of not having to vie for a spot. Is it fair? I suppose if one hates Lebron its not.
Its an attention getter and that means fan interest. Lakers are in the entertainment business. This sells.

Bronny will have a target in his back in the SL. Players will want to shine against him so they can show the association that they belong

Bronny will always draw attention due to being Bron's son. So if you were to have a great game vs him maybe you can parlay the attention Bronny comes with into eyes on you. But Bronny isn't a top 5 lottery pick so playing well vs him won't be the same impact as if you did that to like Wemby last year or something.

Kind of side note though.

Ppl claiming he didn't earn a shot or took someone spot are kind of full of it though. Teams draft euros just to stash them who never play a game in the NBA every year. Or freshman who are mostly potential, every year. Bronny didn't prevent anyone from getting added to a summer league roster to make an impression and maybe earn a spot on someone's G league roster. If anything if he isn't good it somewhat hurts the Lakers organization due to the small chance they passed on a rotational piece with the 55th pick in the NBA draft. Then again the money adding Bronny on to the roster to play with his son is way more valuable than that small % chance of netting that player.
