Dead to me!
Nalod @ 7/7/2024 11:12 PM
This is so weird.
I think its our fan fabrication he was to succeed Thibs. If he is to extend, then it might be a while.
Not that he will anytime soon with Atkinson either.
He was interviewing for Jobs and perhaps is seen as needing more varied experience? Atkinson does well he could have that in ADDITION to the Thibian experience?

Also, and its just a guess, but perhaps he was on board if Knicks were get Donovan, once Brunson ascended and Spida was not going to Brooklyn, then maybe that was a handshake deal to let him go?

Im not going to fret or wish him ill. We do fine, we good.
Cavs are formidable. Add them to the fray next year.

It’s Spida. Plain, straight and simple.

Adios Johnnie.

Looking forward to seeing if Maurice Cheeks can help our PGs elevate their games. Rookies and vets. Not expecting miracles, but every little bit helps.

Damn he loves Spida that much to go from NYC to Cleveland?

No, he knows that Knicks will be contender heavy for a long time and that would mean less head coach prospects, Thibs aint going anywhere any time soon.

Resume builder move?

Chandler @ 7/8/2024 3:04 PM

the last time Atkinson was head coach, IIRC the offense was run up the floor as fast as you can and take the first (semi-) open 3.

truth be told i was hoping the knicks would snag him because i thought he would be a development guy and thibs would not -- scored F- on that one

i honestly don't know what to expect from him in Cleveland. His GS experience was not high on development.

Can't hit them all but Kuminga on the rise, Jordan Poole was incredible there, Moody? The polish kid they got......
The won a chip in 22'........
It was a hell of a run. Mistakes? Of course. Thats a high functioning organization he was part of.
It got him the job in Clev.
Johnny will be there to help, learn and teach.

Confused. We got Johnnie from Utah where he worked with Spida. Nothing to do with GS.

Thought the reference was Atkinson not developing anyone under his watch in GS?
