And here I thought we were talking about basketball, lol!

Does OG at center make more sense than Randle? I think he did a good job vs Embiid the few times they matched up on switches. OG at least gives some rim protection, something Randle has never been good at.

We have more than enough with mitch
I think we possibly trade for Kessler at some point as I think the coach likes him

It’s a bad contract. And I like Hartenstein

Why is it bad if it fills a need under their salary circumstances without also affecting their level of play?

OKC GM is considered one of the best in the NBA. He thought it was a very very good contract.

They HAD to spend the money. If they did not, they would be penalized.

Who else would have been better for them? that would have made this go from bad to good for you? Cause that's the real question.

They already had Chet Holmgren at C. There were other UFA’s they could have signed

PhilC second guessing Sam Presti with no context tells you all need to know.

iHart is a role player that could complete that roster. They need someone to play vs. Rudy and Kat, and deal with Jokic if need be.
OKC had a great year last year and are young. The contract iHart got made sense FOR THEM.

Sims? The videos, the hope, and the career this summer was an important one for him. He gets to come to camp to prove his meddle as back up and basically get the same opportunity iHart got when he signed on two seasons ago. He has to take a big leap and perform in games, not in practice.

Lets look realistically at Iharts ascent and understand it was not instant. Basically it was his second year, and the last 50 games or so after Mitch went out. The offensive rebounding was great, but knicks box out on offense so its also a team thing. His Passing? Was great because we had shooters. Also, he had the floater thing making him a tough pick and role to defend. The blocks, rim protection was very good!
He came here and the system helped him flourish. I hope Sims can execute that talent has.
That and Mitch stays healthy.

Two things that have yet to materialize. The rest of the team is of contending status I believe.

How to compensate? Really much depends on what will become of Randle and his salary situation. Lot of pie in the sky scenarios many fans can play with when the money is not detailed. Ayton? He makes no sense on Portland and I don't love him unless he gives himself to Thibs and co.
KAT for Randle? Sure, I know there are details. But Randle on Minny and Kat here makes sense for both. Kessler, other low radar non starphuch could be the formulaic answer like iHart was two years ago. Thats more likely.

If I had to be cool and make a prediction, I was into the Clint Capella thing last year. Logical and his salary is easy. How it gets done? DOn't know. Makes the same as Mitch. Makes no sense to do that unless they sweeten the pot but I don't see Mitch on ATL making sense either.

Most trades are not making sense money wise yet.
