https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/4131...ESPN senior NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski has agreed to become the general manager of the men's basketball program at St. Bonaventure, he told ESPN.
Torch passed to Shams but Woj is the breaking news GOAT
Good for Woj, been a fan simce his Yahoo days. Wouldnt be surprised if we see him GMing an NBA team in 4-5 years.

Not unless he wins big at St. Bonneventure.
Woj perhaps made some good money and was at the top of his game when ESPN snagged him. He pioneered a new type of journalist with Yahoo and hope he got compensated here as at ESPN. But in time he got a ton of competition from those who did what he did with more charisma. He outworked most to jump to legendary status and that took a lot. As traditional media died his space got diluted with a new generation. Windhorst became the new geek and is EVERYWHERE! Woj did good and he should get enshrined one day as an innovator.
Reporting is not the same as management and talent evaluation. His name power for the Bonnies is a good thing but I don't expect he'll rise to prominence or ascend to the NBA. If anything this is a nice chill job and he should do well from his cred. Good for him!!!!
I get his podcast feeds and they have been few and farther between the last year or so. Again, crowded space and there is big money in this stuff. Lets just say JJ Reddick took a sizable pay cut to coach the Lakers. Its rumored he was making more than Dan Hurley who makes 5mil . In another years his productions would have even been worth a lot more. Bill Simmons has killed it over the years SINCE he was let go by ESPN. They did him a huge favor. What he sold the ringer for was fantastic.
Again, Woj has done really well for a writer and wish him well!
This will leave a giant hole in basketball reporting and it will be interesting to see if it can be filled. Great for him though. Seems like a perfect change for him.
Shams gonna do a tour and take his talents elsewhere?
