Can't believe Whitmore dropped so low. Houston has been cherry-picking my heart-throbs in Eason and Whitmore. NOP and Houston have had some amazing non-lottery drafting.

The tank job Dallas put on was ridiculous. Whitmore was someone I felt we would have selected given his Nova background and general skillset as a big wing. He would have come in so handy, although maybe he would have been traded in one of these recent deals. Still such a missed opportunity to get a free lottery pick.

Whitmore was my guess as to who the Knicks would have taken but who knows.

Yes and Lively would have also been a reasonable guess. It would have been one or the other I’m sure.

All we know Knicks would have traded back several times and not draft either.

You’re probably right. It’s funny because the drafts before 2024 the Knicks opted not to use their roster spots on rookies. Well now we could really use a couple of quality second or third year players to fill out the roster. My one criticism of this front office is they really let that pipeline of prospects dry up. They have been good at drafting but needed to give themselves more chances.

a year ago Mitch was our starting center and iHart was his back up with Sims.
Lively is a nice hindsight view but we very well might have passed on him also given our depth.
He was given a great opportunity on a center thin Dallas team and earned his way in.
Did we know Mitch was going down AGAIN? Did we know iHart was going to blow past his salary value as he did?
And Fucking Dallas tanks and then makes finals next year!!!! It stings for sure.
Mostly thats on both Kyrie and Luka both being healthy and both bought into to making it work!
Lively basically carried his college stats and actually improved on them in the NBA. Very unusual for a 20 year old big.
Kudo's to Dallas for playing it Savvy and making a good pick.
