Aerial "Dunk" Porti?

"Blackenstein"?

Yeah, but Isiah the traitor is technically Blackenstein.

Maybe in part cause he's 23

He’s making rookie mistakes. His cross court passes are too aggressive and he is not playing great defense. He needs time. Still legit skills.

But in a bad draft, he is clearly one of the best players. Probably top 15.

I mean Alex Sarr looks terrible.

KEEPCAMBYNY @ 10/9/2024 9:52 PM
Am I the only one that sees some Othella Harrington in Hukporti’s game? He is more athletic than O but that little lefty hook out of the post reminds me of him.

If he hadnt gone to a contender, Id agree. But he got paid big time, and is part of one of the best teams in the West. Cant blame him for that.

Brunson and KAT is gonna be Murray Jokic of the East. Just deadly PnR duo.

To be fair, Tyler is four years older than Sarr. I think Sarr rounds into a Joe Smith type pick. Not the best player in his class, but a solid player.

I don't want to make excuses for him. Whatever the reason, he left with his hot wife to go to plays for some rubes in the Midwest. He's dead to me... I don't really mean that, but he's still the ops.

Bridges being a good defender again has me happy. He was not on the Nets but he did have a bigger offensive load. 16 to 20pts and good D is about what we need from him.
Clean @ 10/9/2024 10:10 PM
Kolek with 15pts, 5asts, 2stls in 17 minutes

Been 4 years and Sims has no positional awareness. Huk getting a long look

I said it over the summer and will say it again, I don’t think Sims is passionate about the game. I think he is someone that plays basketball because he just happens to be tall and athletic. There’s no way that someone with his size and athleticism is a fringe NBA player. He should be looking like David Robinson out there. I like the kid and hopes he proves me wrong though.

Some really solid stretches of defense where Bridges, OG, and Hart were smothering everyone and getting into the passing lanes. Follow my logic here, a gifted offensive player can raise the floor for a team by passing and shooting, but since there's only one ball, that benefit has a ceiling. Whereas multiple high level defensive players can have an exponential effect because they are compounding the shot difficulty for the offense. They smother some guys while leaving other guys open with a pick pocket lurking in the lane.

Also, really good foul defense. Foul shots are still the highest value ones in the NBA and just avoiding them is great defense.

This team will be special if they are able to consistently knock down those 3s.

Sir, I'm respectfully asking you to no longer post trash in game threads. We're here to look forward, not back.

One spot behind where Brunson was picked. NBA does favor athletes with speed and size. Execs have trouble with guys that aren’t fast but are crafty with high bb IQ.

I feel like Huktopori played his way in front of Sims. I had high hopes for Sims that he would be able to play his way into some decent minutes, but Huktopori just looked way better in all facets of the game. Warren also looked good in limited minutes. I'm not sure if it's possible but trading Sims to a team with space to open up salary for Warren might be a good move.
