You can get a good idea from the previous game thread. We was in there during the game since no new one was made until mid game.

Yeah, my bad guys, had the family thing going on. I am going to make it such that others besides me can help with GameThreads and such. Bip is on it. Also searching for ScoreBot and think we have that on agenda too.

SergioNYK @ 10/16/2024 9:14 AM
Damn that sucks about Shamet! Guess it means Warren makes the roster or maybe sign a free agent? Bullock is still out there.

I'll try to create game threads the morning of games if I don't see an existing one.

SergioNYK, thanks. I am going to try to reach you on email over next week to set this up.

this game was embarrassing for Cha.

Literally beat by our 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Wow... that being said the draft class looks really good. Some players who may end up helping

this is such a change from when we had bad teams and had marginal talent taking up those last spots.

And this is not a case of bad players getting supported by better players- these guys are good, have developed and are executing nicely in the system.

FO and Thibs have established a nice franchise. Hope Dolan doesn't mess it up.

The culture in a vacuum can develop.
Lamelo just grates on my eyes. They should be embarrassed to lose as they did.
So hard to fathom how Jordan for all his intensity and drive to win ran this team as a profit center.

Let this be a lesson when fans clamor for star players to be mentors just because of who they were. He was the GM in DC and as owner his record of success never rubbed off.
He is beloved in North Carolina despite.

Dadiet looks like a kid out there but he showed why he does not want to be buried in Europe or the Gleague. Good for him.
I feel bad for the fans who paid to see a preseason game and not the starters.
Going to have to get used to CamPayne as a knick. He is a bit of a dick but he a KnickDick now!!!!

Pac was awesome. He hit two corner 3s and had two nice baseline drives, all in the second. Kolek really showed his playmaking chops. Shamet looked like he had a non contact arm injury. He extended it while going for a loose ball while standing. He collapsed and had to be helped off.

I think Warren has looked really good on offense. Good shooting but he also moves the ball well. A lot of guys in his situation would just be chucking up shots, but he seems like he shoots in the offense.

Breen asked Clyde "Who's the biggest chucker you ever played with?"

"Well, I once talked to Cazzie Russell about rebounding and he said, "They pay me to shoot, man.""

Lol

Yeah...I watched Cazzie as a kid...Major chucker. If he started hot, you gave him rope...if he was cold, you yanked him.
Alpha1971 @ 10/16/2024 2:08 PM
Dadiet has an offensive game that's better then Obis with better defense. He got lottery level talent.

Warren should make the squad now with Shamet injured. So the bench for now is Deuce, Precious, Payne and Warren. With the rookies and Simms as situational

Alpha1971 @ 10/16/2024 4:17 PM
TJ Warren is smooth on offense he can play back 3-4. Warren hope he is the come back player of the year.

Curious, who is they? Was that posters here or were there specific pundits.

I know I had my doubts that Leon could take whatever success he had had as a sports agent and translate it into the FO of a basketball franchise. I don’t think you can fault anyone who did because this franchise had been a total joke for the last 20 years.

Chandler @ 10/16/2024 10:07 PM
A game like this should inspire thibs. He doesn’t need to play his starters 35 min a night especially against weaker teams

I'll be honest, I'm really searching for my Dayne but Scorebot is a little bit of a creep so this may be one of those crossover scenarios where I catch both at the same time. I'm a planner!

Leon and Thibs built it... but the "they" would be the whole NBA sphere from pundits to boards to the GMs building the teams.

The accepted truth was all roster construction started and ended with top tier star talent. Who could argue? And to be fair that has not changed. Knicks certainly have that. However rather than tank (the process) and gut the roster they built a program around a coach and a philosophy of defense, rebounding and quality shots. Style of play didnt matter really. Sometimes we run. Other times it's ISO. What's best? Thibs:"you guys be YOU"

Knicks went from 21-45 to 41-31 and they basically turned it around by getting Thibs and literally just coaching up Jules/RJ/Mitch/Reggie/ELF. Brought in some fun rookies who also got time and played the Thibs way. Added DRose with a little gas left in the tank. We never committed to losing. Rather develop every player, scour for draft assets, find diamonds in the rough.. you know the history. Here we are now competing for a chip with a healthy window to do so

Dadiet reminds of KP, as in for an overseas kid he is incredibly seasoned in terms of his grasp of the American game. You can tell he's been preparing all his life for it like KP did.
