The Knicks waiving Matt Ryan and Jacob Toppin was about not having NBA games left on their two-way deal.Toppin had already hit his limit. Ryan was closing in on his limit as well.
Now, New York can sign a couple of other players to two-way deals for depth down the stretch.
I think TJ Warren threw an elbow and was tossed out of the game Friday for throwing an elbow? That little arena is loud, could not hear much.

Toppin Friday night looked great in first quarter then could not hit a shot. Saw him play last season also in Greensboro and he had 35pts. Sorry to see him go but perhaps better he move on and find a place either with a team that will develop him or play overseas and make some money. Toppin was on the bench on Saturday night which IM sure was not a pleasant night for him. Next day he gets bounced. Kid is 24 and was undrafted. He had a nice opportunity with knicks for nearly two seasons.
Chuma? Big body who was a wing in College but looks every bit a 4. WKNicks lost by 29 on the night we were there. He dropped 28pts Philly Called him up so the scouts must have seen something and my analytical abilities are far from being an authority so I really can't say if he is close to being called up and ion so will play. Defensively he is not the athletic freak that is Precious but far more polished offensively.
McCullar: He played 22 minutes and shot 0-6. Given his college cred I'd say just has a bad night. Someone said "Josh 2.0"? That might be a stretch. He did not physically dominate like Josh can.
Boo Buie Friday night did not stand out.
TJ Warren in the fist half of game I saw looked like a pro playing with kids. He had the fundamentals to create space and was hitting his shots. All too often Gleague players rely on Yoothier athletic ability to get their shot. Again, I would not rely on box score as perhaps they were desperate to fasten the pace and make a rally. What should not be lost on fans is that when these guys are getting minutes even in the Gleague its a great opportunity to demonstrate ability or with TJ get reps in and keep the dream going. By what I read we get Moses back and TJ both called up as there is space now.
Looks like Johnny Davis played with Westchester on Saturday. 10th round pick in just his 3rd season having turned 23 years old just last week. Obviously he had no future in WizLand and maybe asked out? Curious if we do that sign him for next year THIS season. Not sure we have the space though. If he is to be a knick he might have to bend to knee to the Thibian way and be that dude that plays defense if the shot is not falling. This kid coming out of college had endorsement deals and everything but just never clicked in the NBA. Not sure what his issues were if any. Maybe this is the Thibian reclamation project for the summer?

His defense is bad, apparently. That said, Dallas how to let him go due to their cap situation. This new CBA is really doing a number on the fringe guys and I'm guessing the middle class is really going to be pinched going into the office season.
