and I think the loser is finished.
Which Knick squad shows up? Orlando has been slow and steady.
15 & 7. Winners of 6 straight.
Orlando probably will still qualify as the wild card even if they lose bc of strong point differential. Unfortunately we only beat the Nets and Charlotte by a combined 3 pts so no chance at us winning that tiebreaker.
Magic are the opposite of the Knicks - they have virtually unlimited size and front court depth, even with Paolo out. This makes them the most physical team in the league defensively and dominant on the glass. Franz getting all the accolades, but Goga Bitadze is the secret MVP of their team. This is why so many of us wanted him to replace iHart- he is a massive presence on the boards and defensively and an efficient offensive contributor who can pass the ball and scores efficiently. He has made them a top shelf defensive team taking more Mins with Paolo out.
When the Knicks have 2 of OG, Bridges, McBride sniping from 3 they are virtually unstoppable offensively. It wont happen every game and if all 3 are off its very tough.
Right now OG in his last 3 games 0/15 from 3 and 8/36 from the field. He seems to have no legs, but got a slight reprieve on minutes last game. Obviously he is doing amazing on D, but for us to win vs an Orlando level team we need him to be able to shoot from deep.

there's a reason Knicks are #1... You get an almost easy 50 a night from KAT/Brunson at a high EFF% and like you said the other guys snipe/slash. Just like hitting open 3s is a product of those two guys so are things like Josh scoring at the rim at will. It's wild.
Orlando is a very long team. Teams that can put 3+ 7' wingspans on the floor tend to give us issues with our dribble drives and force Brunson to alter his shot. They take away the baseline passes with their length, making it harder to find the corner 3. I expect a tough game unless our guys can get open up the passing lanes. Will need the home crowd to lend a hand.
Jalen Suggs is a great defender, but Brunson can cook anyone his size. KCP will see action against him and I think they will put Jonathan Isaac on Jalen for a good part of the game. We have to shut down Orlando's scoring in these minutes when they have fewer shooters
All this talk of length when we know it's girth that really matters
Jericho gonna get minutes tonight, bring it brotha!

I'd think if they want size they go with Franz over Issac.
I still have no idea how his shot is so pure. Such a high arch
Knicks will never play zone, but I think Orlando would struggle against a zone bc of lack of consistent shooting on the wings and lack of playmaking besides Franz

And yet so many on this board hate Sims, and I think would be all for addition through subtraction.

see martin's post above - zone, if I understand correctly, leaves you vulnerable on the boards.

KCP has been hitting the three the past few games. Got to track him.

Don't forget Black, who has size and youth. They have plenty of guys to use and try and slow Brunson down.

this makes no sense. Keep off offensive glass but then discusses opponent's misses. I assume he meant they're own misses
No go for the Goga, good for Knicks
Drives me crazy when Bridges doesnt get his feet set
