This guy is going to be such a boost off the bench. Right now our team is just 7 deep offensively, with Sims a one-way player. Not sure if anyone noticed, but last game while the top 7 were pouring it on, the rest of the bench scored exactly 1 basket. Will be good to have a reasonable 2-way front court player to step in.
OK this is perfect, I had been meaning to start up a Precious thread and you beat me to it. Thanks.
In short, Precious may not have had a very well defined role in or maybe just not the right one. He is a guy who may bust out with a Knicks system, especially considering the more defensive players and aspects that are missing.
A lots of these videos make sense from one perspective or another. First 4 from Toronto days, rest are within last year when he was on Knicks.
Knicks may have another gem waiting to bust the fuck out. Still needs to prove that he can shoot.

He’s so valuable because he fits next to KAT. Fills in a lot of the gaps.
Something in this kids eyes/face that seems so sincere/serious in terms of him wanting to contribute/succeed.
I always root hard for him when he enters and I absolutely loved the brief stretch where he was switching all over on perimeter last night.
I legit think he has the size/length/mobility/quickness to be our 2nd best defender.
Vs. OG/Mikal/Josh he also adds he also adds more shot-blocking and rim protection with great timing.
Hoping Thibs continues to find solid minutes for him and hope his role creates a special defensive element to our team success.
I think Bridges can spare a few minutes and catch a breather.

I don't remember if I posted it at the time we acquired him, but I felt like we weren't getting a throw in, we were getting a very nice player that would improve with increased opportunities. Clearly the FO must have as well.
Everyone talks about making a trade of Robinson and maybe Precious, but I don't see us being able to get back as much value and impact.
If those two guys are healthy down the stretch and into the playoffs, they do more to help us win than anything you could propose in terms of a salary match.
I kinda wish we had locked him up to a long term deal because I think he has a few more years of impact available to him.

I "felt" like we got an player Toronto was giving up on as Barnes had emerged. They did not want to resign him. His handle was suspect, and offensively he not consistent. The video of him is nice, all the highlights.
What surprised me is the willingness to play the Thibian way making impact on defense. That took a while if I recall until he got into better playing shape and Thibs could trust him.
Given his contract status one can't say he is to be here long term. As for "Locking him up" that might have a lot to do with him and the price he values himself at. His 6mm and delay was a good thing for both.
My first impressions were proven wrong. Thats a good thing. I hope the enthusiasm for him by fans here continues to the court.
