With the return of Precious and soon Mitch, it's time to give Simms props. How many 4th string centers could have done the job he has done ? Team has depth, but would like the team add a wing for the length of the season. Unless Dadiet is the guy and they have him cooking in the G League for a reason
He is *supposed* to be the 3rd string center. But now the back up PF is getting minutes at center over him and the Rook has a more complete game than him.
If the team is healthy, he won't see time on the floor.
a week ago it was muse posted some stat was like historical rim protection. What ever. That his offensive game is so poor or Thibs does not want to see any part of it.
Maybe Sims needs to get away from Thibs and blossom?
Sims is never suppose to see the light of day if not for Mitch or iHart being injured. But it happens and he does.
We also see instances when Huk gets an offensive rebound and does not realize he is open but passes out. This is how the team wants him to play for now.
Sims had a 2 week run where he was playing good defense - the last few games he's looked lazy/lost. He's a fringe NBA player at best - a guy who in year 4 hasn't developed any offensive skill and has gotten marginally better at defense. As an NBA role player you're tasked for being consistent at one thing - if he doesn't bring it every time on D he's not a rotation piece. With Precious back, his chances at staying in become slimmer and slimmer. I think he get a few more shots at it, but as Precious ramps up I think he he is more likely to find 25 mins per game. Thibs as we know loves an 8 or 9 man rotation - we know Deuce and Precious are part of that Payne deserves minutes spelling Brunson and to bring energy on nights we need it. The 9th man, if any, will be another big (Mitch?) or a shooting wing (Shamet? Ryan?). Who that 9th man is on any given night might be dictated by the matchup - do we need size or shooting? Or maybe some nights there's no 9th man at all.

Explains a lot about his off-court development.😅

Jericho’s got game. Too bad it’s not on the court.
