I know Silver is an empty suit commissioner but if he wants ratings to go up he needs to send a message to the refs the nba has a new generation of superstars it needs to have playing on tv not sitting on the bench for half the game. Lebron has averaged 1.5 fouls per game in his career while KAT is turning into 2024 Rasheed Wallace

I have to tell you, I always thought it was a right of passage thing with the refs and a good indicator even the NBA thinks you are a good team.
Jordan got pounded by the Bad Boys until they were king. Chicago and the refs pounded the Knicks for years and they never got over the cusp.
Steph went through it too until they won and didn't need to.
KAT just has to deal. And get better.
In 2 years, Brunson and KAT will get all the calls IMHO
using Lebron and blame the commissioner is weak.
The article if you read it depicts KAT has stop with the silly fouls. They don't blame the refs, or Silver, or Stearn, or Nike, or the Chinese, or Soros, or Donoughy, and of course Dolan.
Before we start getting the red string out, how are knicks calls vs other teams? Is Jalen getting the line more or less than last season, or about the same? If you only watch knicks, your not seeing it all.
WE went to the line a lot more than Orlando last night. Was that fair? Or just the game?
Jalen in the paint wiggles about he creates contact. League I think is letting more of that go. Fans don't like seeing games stopping all the time.
Refs "about them"? WE see less and less of that over time.
Do refs make mistakes? Yep. NBA does evaluate and when wrong or a team protests, they are public about it and do admit when a ref messes up.
But fans will never stop blaming the Commish or rooting for their favorite players.
KAT been doing for much of his career.
While this article is two years old and perhaps subjective, we all know fans boo their commissioners so when they call them "Empty suites" is usually done of emotional ignorance finding something that bothers them and find comfort in assigning "Blame".

The bad boy pistons were a big reason for Michael Jordan forcefield rules in the 90’s. Stern saw tv ratings and Nike sales skyrocket after Jordan started getting past the pistons and was like get me some more of that.
KAT should be treated like one of the faces of the nba instead the refs treat him worse than a backup Center

So in 2 years, when their window is closed. Wonderful.

Watching these games - some of them are ticky tack fouls that for other players like LeBron, the whistle is swallowed.
He does have a terrible swim move (like a defensive lineman) where he spins into the lane that is a foul and gets called. He needs to clean that up.
It seems like last night, Thibs or someone talked to the Refs and said that Orlando was basically mugging him, and they started to call some fouls to his benefit, but nothing like what he should have.

Yes and the issue is not just KAT getting calls against him but also defenders are getting away with full contact with him in the paint or under the basket with no call. I’ve seen KAT openly get hacked driving to the basket and no call.

We have a 4 year window but yes, Towns needs to get rid of the 1-2 silly fouls he makes per game and the refs also have to show him more respect.

peak athletic performance is age 28. This is probably going to be our best year - and next to do something.

Why would you say that? Knicks got like a 4+ year window

Our key guys are all 28/29. Peak athletic performance is 28.
This group, I think, has a 2 year window- this year and next. And after that, I think it gets hard- as well as contracts- Bridges is due and potentially Robinson.

You like the grinch or something? Who thinks like this?
Kat comes across as whining for every single foul on offense and I think eventually refs start to hold that against you on both sides.
On top of that he makes at least 2 boneheaded/ lazy fouls each game.
Feel like he’s been di*king around a bit more lately and can we please stop posting up on the wing 3 point line against 6’5” wings. Get deep - hold your ground and go to work.

I think the refs could call a foul on every play. When I see KAT, I see a guy that is finally in a defensive position to commit fouls. He’s in the action. I assume Thibs did that. Like a young Mitch, I think that are showing KAT how to actually play defense. Right now he is catching fouls, but they will show him how to defend without committing the foul. First, what I see is that they have him finally engaged and defending the rim.

Faced with facts thats all you got? I've seen adolescents with more common sense then to deflect with such lazy aplomb as you do.
