No comb over for Kolek, yet

This is all I needed to hear to know he is a good coach. He is spot on and was very thoughtful in his answer. This is what I like to hear from post game interviews.

He *was* a good coach.

Until his brain got warped.

I’m determined to give less fucks.

Life is too short.

Most important one. Def agree

Funny how some wins are just easily shrugged off as another team with a losing record. We ALL here know how tough it always seems to be for us against Utah and even today they played us tough. But our defense after the first quarter was impressive, our resilience on offense was admirable and everyone seemed to be on high alert as we didn’t have our Captain nor Deuce. I loved to see that.

Thibs is gonna Thibs and that is a good thing in general because he has this team ready. But today was exactly the reason why I always worry about our bench getting enough action. Things happen and sometimes unexpected people have to step into roles. Payne not playing much lately and Kolek starring in the G-League shows they weren’t expecting to be without Brunson AND Deuce, yet it happened. I’m glad Kolek is getting his due in the GL and he was important today, but I was curious why not much Payne when both Brunson and McBride have been evidently banged up. We all want to win, but I’m sure there are some stretches where we could still hold our own while the bench gets a few more minutes.

Great win nonetheless. Utah always looks like a trap game. Glad we took care of business.

Now, on to the heavyweight battle!

Watching the last 3-4 games it seems like Thibs wants us to be more than a " love and die by the three" team. Scored 70 points in the paint, 30 on fastbreaks, had 31 assists. If this can be our "goto" and someone gets hot from 3 I think we can beat anyone.

Yeah, I'm good on Clarkson.

Yeah we absolutely have no use for Clarkson. OG totally shut down Markannen. Markannenn in general is having a terrible shooting season compared to the last 2. Sexton and Kessler are really good.

I love this Josh "Point" Hart. Josh has really leaned into being a creator. Has thrown some really impressive passes.

Knicks have not been feeling the 3 lately. I think will be tough against OKC if we're not hitting the 3.

Nalod @ 1/2/2025 8:34 AM
Playmaking requires threat from outside. Josh is a bull to the rim but if defense has to respect his long game, that opens things up for his passing. He has always been a good also in transition pushing the ball up court and passing it.

Probably, also me in about 5 years

Hard to believe Knicks are winning these games without Johnnie Bryant on coaching staff.

Man I've been so impressed with Josh Hart and especially his play with the starters. He is such a high IQ player and then matches it with his unusual blend of strength, timing, and athleticism.

KAT and Brunson getting their due on the offensive end, OG on the defensive end, and Mikal has his blend of both in addition to this midrange flow.

But Josh is just the glue that binds and blends them all together - you know, one ring to rules them all, our other Precious - and fills all the gaps of whatever is needed. He is the literal Glue Guy holding everything together.

Sometimes he gets spazzy but especially against a weaker team like Utah, it just looks like the game is going so slow for him and he just picks his spots.

Johnnie was holding the offense back all this time!

Alpha1971 wrote:Former lottery pick O Dieng on OKC hasnt gotten any burn and with their future plethora of picks he may never get a chance. Wonder if the Knicks can pick him up for a low cost or for free soon.

OKC may burn some of those picks and Dieng to grab Cameron Johnson (Nets) -- (to add shooting to their roster).

Saw that and in a blowout win which Toronto has not been doing much at all.
