We traded 1 pick for 3. We traded a late first for 5 seconds. We complaining?
It’s all about Curry and Draymond’s window so it does make sense. Won’t have to do as much with GS. Maybe less wear and tear. Always plays with a chip on his shoulder after a trade. if Butler can stay healthy, look out.

TV money is good for the entire league…..apparently
In the End, Jimmy won. He got his money. Not a tamper as Miami likely allowed Butler to get his deal to leave.
That TV money is good for Jimmy. GSW makes a ton of money.
Other than PHilC, who thinks Silver sucks? The players? They making bag. TV? They lined up and paid. Fans? WE don't get dynasty's anymore and more interesting things.
Attnedance? Pretty good. League pass and other avenues I would assume is making up for lack of traditional viewing habits.
never a short of investors to buy into the league. They broadcasting in the a country with 1.35Bil. China.
Europe awaits. Expansion domestically on the horizon.
NBA is doing well. Jimmy Butler made Riley his bitch. Riley might have gotten a nice pick down the road. Im baffled by the extension.

Awwww. Does KD feel disrespected? Seriously? F*** KD. How many trade demands has he made in his career?

They did have to trade their best player for it, so there is that too.
Good point
Knicks traded MIL top 4 protected 2025 pick, Randle, and an MLE signing in Donte for KAT.
GS traded Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Anderson and a top 10 protected GS 2025 pick for Jimmy.
I think that's the nuts and bolts of the comparison.

2nd rd picks could turn out to be more valuable to a team over the 2nd apron with this new cba. Overall the new cba has been total bullshit. I hope they fix it.
am i the only one wanting to see butler and draymond brawl over something stupid?
Chandler wrote:am i the only one wanting to see butler and draymond brawl over something stupid?
Im in.
The GSW thing might have been perceived as a no win for Durant. He returns to not so great team and gets bad juju if they don't make a decent run.
GSW empire is aging out. PHX wooed him to from BKN and he took the trade. Kind of shitty to then want to move him for Jimmy. Its not like KD is playing badly.
Bradley Beals comments are such fabricated bullshit. He and Lebron are the only ones with no trade clause.

How so?
Are you saying the teams need to adapt to it and think about what they are doing? Or league missed badly and we seeing outcomes that were not seen?
Ruins dynasty building and makes midlevel teams more competitive?
There is not "it team" and teams that make play in if they are getting healthy or make a last season trade can rise to take a chip.
That can be exciting.
If it needs fixing, what aspects do you see is broken?

The new CBA has a second round pick exception.
Second-round picks should also become more valuable in the coming years thanks to the new CBA. Previously, teams had to dip into cap space or a salary-cap exception such as the mid-level exception to sign second-round picks to contracts. If they signed them using the minimum-player exception, they were limited to offering no more than two years. The new CBA introduced a second-round pick exception that allows teams to sign second-rounders to three- or four-year deals without dipping into cap space or their MLE Such contracts either must be two years with a third-year team option or three years with a fourth-year team option, and they pay slightly more than the minimum salary for players with no NBA experience.

Knicks are prime example of using 2nd rounders to fill back end and meet roster mins.
Great work by the org to get 2 guys in Kolek and Hukporti who look like real prospects with 2nd rounders. And obviously a lot of us, myself included, are high on McCullar as welll. Having guys like that fill bench spots and maybe even rotation spots next year will save us a ton of money and keep us within the apron rules while we continue to maximize our starting lineup.

Those young guys need to hurry up lol
McBride, Mitch, Sims were all second rounders.
Plus we could have herb jones instead of Rokas
there's talent there if you do your due diligence, calibrate expectations, and have enough eye/judgment to tell who can develop into a contributor

What do you think Dray and JimmyBuckets’ first fight will look like?
EwingsGlass wrote:What do you think Dray and JimmyBuckets’ first fight will look like?
Jimmy walking into the new prison yard and all the tough guys are out there. Jimmy walks up to the baddest dude in the yard and cold cocks him. Has to leave his scent right away as the top dog. Steph is like the mafia leader. Handsome, smooth and has his minions do the work. Jimmy won't fuck with him but use him to get what he wants. Dray gets up and swears revenge. Later, in the showers Dray and others try to gang up on them but Jimmy is ready. Naked, he just lays them all out proclaiming he the man and urinates on them. Steph is impressed and takes him under his wing. Kerr, the warden likes this as its competitive.
Meanwhile, Adam Silver is in his cool chair, dressed in black with his white Persian cat in his lap lights up a slim cigar and in fromt of all the media feeds loving the press of all these trades and the pending fall out from a Jimmy-Dray confrontation! He scoffs at the petty issue of ratings decline without the respect of revenue from streams and he is delighted not only will this season finish strong, his media partners will be happy. He wonders why he lets some social media lackeys get on his nerves? Maybe he has mother issues unresolved?
He laughs at this notion and checks his bank accounts before heading to his harem for a night of debauchery. Life is good, he learned to not be careless like Harvey Weinstein, Epstein and PDiddy. He calls his wife and tells her he is stuck in Secaucus and that the weather is not great to take the chopper home. She protests but he says "you don't want me be like Kobe and crash, do you?" She knows the game and lets him play it. She'd fucking love it if his chopper pulled a Scully into the icy waters of the Hudson! Heading to bed she removes her glass eye for cleaning. She is very guarded about this but with Adam out for the night she is not going to be victimized by him. she calls down for the limo for her drive her to Jim Dolans penthouse and plots her revenge: She will let him Skull fuck her and enjoy the power! Adam loves the knicks but has issues with Dolans fucking with his head.......If only he knew who was really fucking whose head!
