Why not give him consistent playing time for a protracted period of time and then label him a bust?

Would anyone consider a Darko for Sweetney trade. I like Sweetney's game but his time is dwindling also. If given a trade senario I would consider trading Sweetney for Darko.

Detroit does not need any more PF's. But I would do it in a minute.

Darko is no eurostiff, just lacked fundamentals.

Carmello is not my fav, SO i would have drafted Wade ahead of Carmello.

The darko story is far from being finished!

Nope; and if Darko had been available at #9, I still would have taken Sweetney. 7' Euro stiffs who are projects should not be taken early or even mid lottery. Too low a percentage of them actually turn out to be successes.

there's no way in hell Darko would have been taken lower than Sweetney...the hype around him was too high...Layden would have given up his 1st born child to get a crack at Darko that low.

Didn't Layden already give up his oldest to bring in Eisley?
Bippity10 @ 11/30/2004 6:57 PM
No, no the oldest was used on Shandon. To get Eisley I believe he sold his daughter into prostitution. They may be a rumor but that's what I heard.
