What are the odds that the Mavs would get the first pick after trading Luka? Im not saying its fixed, but so many things happen in the NBA that defy the odds

I’ll say it for you, it’s fixed.
Spurs now get to move that pick for Giannis?
That seems too flawless too.

Im reluctant to say it definitively, but it sure looks that way. Between the embrace of gambling, to suspect trades, and drafts, dont like where the league is headed.
Might be rose colored glasses, but I think David Stern grew the league without making it look so shady.

Knicks should trade for AD.

Or the deal was made a long time ago and he took the bullets first his owners.

Kyrie
Klay
Cooper
AD
Lively
That’s solid if they all aren’t injured

Then he's just another empty suit.

“We are moving the fat out of shape guy who is literally the worst all star level defender and who will want the super max for AD, picks, Max Christie, Cooper Flagg”
Don’t overthink it. Everyone in that situation is an empty suit when you owner makes that deal.

Nothing to overthink. Some execs make a name for themselves for their ideas, leadership. Others for rubber stamping business decisions made by others.
I understand the odds make for good conspiracy fodder but do all 29 other owners totally approve of this?
If your "colluding" you need those in charge to approve it. Silver works for the owners.
So if your gonna call out Silver are we really calling out the ownership structure? There are extreme financial concerns here regarding a potential franchise player.
We did not discuss conspiracy last year when ATL moved up. I get there are instances that are remarkably suspicious.
My guess is I the money can be done, Giannis ends up in Dallas. Time line makes sense.

Stern was horrible. He had a WWE model of promoting personalities particularly MJ rather than sound basketball. League grew despite him

This definitely feels fixed ala NOP losing Paul. Not like Lebron to cavs. Pretty sure Flagg is from Maine
Dallas gives away Luka to lakers w no effort to get best deal but to benefit Lebron Lo and behold
The loser in this is Copper. Ad will probably play less than 50% of games, kyrie is a nut job. Gm is a bozo
At least Kidd is a good coach and will make cooper into his own version of Giannis maximizing his strengths
So insane how Nico got bailed out. Flagg in Dallas does make sense. Glad he’s out west, and it will be a great nba story. The nba continues to get excellent story lines that maintain interest in so many different areas. Utah, Washington and Charlotte continue to lose out and stay irrelevant. Parity is important but there’s always going to be teams that just don’t matter. The future of the league is in good hands with the continued relevance of the Knicks, Lakers, Celtics, Mavs and Spurs. Golden State will get their reboot at some point too. But until then they are still going strong.
