Knicks · Knicks vs. Sixers (Minus the 70) 4/1 Game Thread (page 1)

The absolute shreds of the Sixers show up at MSG today.

Check out the initial injury report

76ers: Joel Embiid: Out For Season (Knee), Tyrese Maxey: Out (Back), Andre Drummond: Out (Toe), Kelly Oubre: Out (Knee), Kyle Lowry: Questionable (Hip), Jared McCain: Out For Season (Meniscus), Paul George: Out For Season (Groin), Eric Gordon: Out For Season (Wrist)

On top of this Yabusele and Grimes missed their last game vs. the Raptors. It looks like they will play tonight and Lowry may play too.

Still despite our injuries we have a massive talent advantage. No playing with your food. Take care of business early

CP the Fanchise was right about Deuce missing more than 1 or 2 games....that said makes no sense to play him in this one with the back to back vs. the Cavs tommorow. If he's ready, that's the game he's more likely to play.

Did they ever give a timeline on Cam Payne? Is his sprain as bad as Brunson's? I wonder if he makes it back for the playoffs.

On Grimes - the Sixers have have 145mm in George, Embiid, Maxey to start next year and Oubre, Drummond, Gordon player options and Yabu and Lowry FA. They can resign Grimes but if Grimes is looking at 25-30mm salary and they have Jared McCain coming back, does it really make mathematical sense for them? I'm super curious on how that one plays out. Brooklyn has an enormity of space and you'd think they'd have interest. Detroit also makes a lot of sense even though they already have moved him once....I still question why they did that, but he really seems to fit their ethos pretty well with the skillset he brings to the table.

Anyway lets see if Grimey goes off tonight. He has been motivated when playing against us before.

At what point does Embiid throw in the towel?

on his career? I'm honestly surprised he played as much as he did this year, because he clearly wasn't right all season.

just amazing... to go through all of that and just have nothing to show. Now they are saddled with Embiid and PG

2027-28 is a player option.
Signed 4-yr/$212M contract Saturday, July 6, 2024.

I relish the thought that Paul George will be making $57mm at age 38.

Trust the process!!!!

I'm glad they targeted George instead of OG last off-season. Morey definitely over thought that one. Still, I don't think anyone expected Paul to drop-off this much.

he is ALWAYS hurt... 48,54,31,56,74,41. Those are number of games played each season over the last 6 years.

My worry was they actually all get healthy and we face some Embiid/PG/Maxey headed monster in the first round.

Im back to "no worries"

PG is actually what people think they are complaining about with OG.

Tank you lol

The only problem if KAT sits out is Mitch can't play back to backs - so I assume he can't play tommorow against Cle, especially if he gets the starting mins tonight. Its almost like KAT should just play a few mins because we're so short handed.

That said if Yabusele doesn't play you can probably just get away with PJ Tucker at center.
