I think the main reason he's a starter is he's the 4th or 5th best player we have and 6th isnt close

I agree that moving Josh to the bench next year to be our Igoudala is necessary. This starting lineup ain't it, and if teams can hide their Center on Hart and guard Towns with a forward to neuter his 3's we run into big trouble. What else can you do besides move Josh, whose skillset is probably best suited as a bench spark plug anyway to the bench?

Yep. Josh started out the year so well and then he (and team) was solved.

I'd guess that the FO knew this, give or take, but were a little hamstrung on trades cause of the second apron thing.

This year.

I don't even know what is going through Deuce's mind on this decision to double.

I really think Josh's engine was slowed down by the Runner's Knee. But we didn't really rest him and we should have...

As soon as I see Jalen struggling to get open to receive the inbound on our end I know we will eventually shat the bed.

He struggles to receive inbound, takes 7 seconds to beat the 1/2 court count, gets across 1/2 court and stops (waves hands for a few seconds), Hart eventually trots over for screen near 1/2 court --- other 3 players stand watching. Then we get to watch ISO Brunson.

Pick up the pace, get Jalen off the ball some and use your bench (Cam) who typically plays when Kat goes off.

Saw stat the Brunson has passed the ball to Kat 12 times total in 2 games. On flip side has passed to Mikal I think 38 times and Josh 28 times.

Your whole post sums it up for me.

For me the bolded is the crux of it and the whole team performance dominos from there. And the Knicks really don't have a reliable second ball handler. Mikal and OG suck. Deuce is slow-down'able.

Brunson has had his best passing season in regards to assists. Brunson is not really a good passer. I think both can be true.

Our best 5-7 minute stretch of the season was game 1 with Cam next to Brunson.

Cam can push pace, take some dribble off Jalen's hands, get to rim and is a threat from 3.

That leaves us small/weak in backcourt but not sure what else to do.

It won't happen but part of me wonders what would happen if we moved both Mikal/Josh to bench (partly moving them together so you aren't picking on 1 guy).

You start Deuce and Precious (more rim protection on Cade drives and more switch ability) -- also puts onus on Jalen/Kat/OG to score.

Then our bench is Cam/Josh/Mikal/Mitch -- maybe with some Deuce or OG added in.

Is the broblem Brunson not passing, or when he is passing the players are not attacking and looking to give it back instantly?
