Yeah he has become a clutch shooter. That driving layup he made was huge. When we win, does he always come up with a clutch steal and break?

And he still could have been much better. Played kinda immature or underwhelming at times and still did this

Cant explain how he has these stretches where its an offensive foul, a turnover, a drive without a whistle and then he allows a fast break. He has in game self destructions too often. But he recovered and rotated well on defense down the stretch when he was in and he got boards and points in the paint. He is so volatile. Taming the big KAT is the challenge that will determine whether we can go all the way

Today?

🤣

SHOUT OUT TO THIBS

Shortly after this post From Phil, Thibs Sat cam Payne after those sling shots and he never saw the court again.

Thibs also pulled Mitch before Celtics tried to hack a Mitch. He also ran the offense through Mikal and allowed Deuce to play without Payne which gives more opportunities to Mikal and deuce.

Mitchie ain’t no snitchie

And F those 5 picks. Bring back Divo and let’s build a nova Knicks dynasty.
Towns needs to have more body control, put his head down and attack. That’s when his jumpers are money.

OG carried us for a min too, when we needed him.
Hart was hart. Still should move to bench and start Mitch, but at the same mins distribution.

But who am I vs COY Thibs

He gets frustrated. You can see it. The refs are pretty light with the whistle for him. But when he doesn’t get a call, he gets a bit frustrated and it shows. He played well despite getting some plays called off. The defense was running at him the whole game. Calling switches to get OG off the ball. When he gets a bit mature about not getting calls, he may actually get more of them.

Mitch put in work getting offensive rebounds in the jungle.

Saw 2 horrific leg injuries tonight Jayson Tatum and Oswaldo Cabrera.

So, last night really happened?

KAT just complains too much, we got rid of Randle and might have bought in someone that whines even more. Just play the game.

And man we aren't up 3-1 without Mitch, he's taken alot of slack but he's a big impact player.

I think this is spot on!

A lot of players are immature about non-calls. And many refs are even more immature about the complaints even when correct. Guys need to get past the non-calls or the situation can snowball

Refs were a disaster and unfair last night

Even Richard Jefferson (aka no friend of the Knicks) was calling the. Outta points

Doris is horrible. Ow and has been so for some time. I blame Mark Snapper Jones. I think he convinced her to say these stupid sayings and sound like a bro rather than just be herself.

As great as Tatum was, I mean he was having an all time game... Brunson was right there with him. We gotta appreciate what we are seeing, Brunson is an all time great. It's comical that some even suggested KAT was the best player on this team early on.
nycericanguy @ 5/13/2025 7:12 AM
sometimes its the moves you DONT make, not trading Mitch might get us a chip in the end. he's been that big.
nycericanguy @ 5/13/2025 7:13 AM
we built this team to beat BOS and they are doing it and doing it in year 1... pretty crazy. I thought for sure we'd need another season before hitting our peak.

KAT held up in the second half, refs swallowed their whistle a bit and let him bump a little bit and on the perimeter and Thibs seemed to remove any bit of “recover” from his strategy and did a full blown switch at any sign of a screen. That’s the way it has to be to limit confusion on the rotation and help schemes. And KAT is either gonna hold up like he did on the second half or get in foul trouble but it seems like the only way to limit the 3 point barrages.

ToddTT waking up realizing he was part of a threesome. JB on one side of him, Mikal the other

DLeethal @ 5/13/2025 7:26 AM
That said, the Deuce / Mitch lineup with Hart / Towns on the bench went on an 18-10 run and that was the death lineup that sealed the game.

Yea that was going down as an all time duel. Worth noting we were up 7 when he got injured. Brunson won the duel and Tatum missed a couple to give us breathing room.
