Be interesting what they do. Even bank on development of Dadiet, Kolek, and Hukporti.

I’d bet that McCullar will get more playing time than all 3 above

Let's see. Hope he lives up to your confidence in him. Hope he stays healthy. What do you think he can offer ?

Different version of Josh Hart. True Blue Thibs type player that the coach can’t get enough of.

More confidence in his own offense than Josh. Not as strong or explosive but REALLY smart. Much better team defender than Josh.

Don’t entirely know about his offense but he’ll get Thibs extended look minutes.

Knicks will have to develop at least 1-2 guys into core bench pieces. All good teams with expensive starting lineups have to do that like Celtics did with Pritchard and Hauser.

Yep. And thus the path they took with their young guns this season, amongst other reasons.

I can’t really think of any other player that wasn’t a bonafide top 10 guy but clearly a top 1-3 killer down the stretch. Maybe Paul Pierce was similar type of talent in that regard.

i think Brunson is a legit top 7 guy at this point.

Giannis
Luka
Shai
Jokic
tatum
Lebron

are really the only 6 clear cut better players than him right now. and even a few of those are debatable. def top 10 even at worst.

He’s probably higher than his consensus but the consensus would probably put Steph, Edwards, Mitchell ahead of him at least. But in a playoff series he can out duel anybody and that’s good enough to win a championship with.

nah, he's passed Curry and he's been better than Mitchell for a couple of seasons now. Mitchell isn't anywhere near as efficient as Brunson and certainly not as clutch. He shot just 44/36 this season. Crazy considering how badly we wanted DM, but we have the better player.

And yes he's better and more clutch than Edwards to0, who shot 44.7% this season. Brunson has been a 49/40 shooter here in his NY tenure. all of that would mean nothing if he didn't kill in the playoffs like he does too.

its hard to admit how great he is but its true. he might be the best player in the east next season if Giannis is traded out west.

As well why the Mital trade was so key, 2 years at that low salary so that they could still maneuver this upcoming offseason because they managed to stay under second apron.

I don’t disagree with you but I think consensus would. But they’ve underrated Brunson at every single turn.

This is a great point!

I think we smoke Indy. We just need to,stay at home on their shooters like we did last night. They’ll launch from 2-3 feet behind Tahoe line. Last night we were meeting white and Payton there. No freebies

I think Mikal on haliburton will be key. I think we win the boards

Key issue will be refs. Indy will mug Brunson up the court the way Detroit did. If refs allow that we’ll need to adapt. If they don’t we win easily

martin @ 5/17/2025 8:57 AM
Adam Silver got work to do, you know it.

OKC INDY would be the worst ratings EVER

Villanova crew

KAT v Gobert

Julius Randle getting his revenge vs New York

Tom Thibodeau looking to get back at MN

So many elite storylines

We don’t need trades of that magnitude but some bench improvements and maybe a final starting lineup piece and making Josh super sub and this might actually be a powerhouse 60 win team next year.

We need a bona fide 6 man scorer. Would love DDV

Most important area for growth IMO is trusting other guys to take critical shots. I keep thinking of Robert Horry and Mario Elle. We have guys who have the cajones to take and make those shots now. We just need to do it more.

Sign Al Horford, Tyus Jones, let the kids play.

I like Horford and at this point I think we gotta keep Mitch. He’s just a complete playoff X factor. So with Horford you basically have a quality 3rd string guy who can play some 4 as well. Basically replace Precious with Al. I like it.

100%

IMO Al is the beneficiary of the Celtics system. Philly had a younger Al and he was a disappointment. I love the guy but really worry if he comes here he won’t be the guy he looks like w celts.

I also think we need some toughness

Could be a starter in 2 years. Up here in Boston the rumors were he was the guy celts wanted to draft this year

DDV had a great run last season but its quite possible that was an outlier in his career and teams just weren't ready for him.

He's been brutal in the playoffs, 8ppg on 33/25 shooting. Deuce really stepped up this series, he's looking good.
