Knicks · iHart started all the cluster****s (page 1)

If iHart stays in NY, 3 out of the 4 conference finalists are all probably in a different position as a team.
No DDV, Randle trade? Possibly. Minny is different, NY is different because of it.

OKC is not OKC without iHart?
Thibs should definitely blame iHart

Blame zee Germans
ToddTT@ 6/4/2025 9:09 AM
iHart showed out because somebody was unable to be a starting center.
KAT was brought in because somebody could not be counted on.
Pacers win game one because somebody did not block Haliburton's prayer.
Yes. I'm blaming Sims.
nycericanguy@ 6/4/2025 9:13 AM
it sucks because looking back we probably win the chip this season if he doesn't leave.

It's really the FO's fault for not getting his full bird rights.

In hindsight, the strangest decision ever, especially considering how good the Knicks FO has been with contracts. They FUBAR'ed that one.
VDesai@ 6/4/2025 9:38 AM
Blame the NBA for allowing OKC to accumulate 45 draft picks and a massive amount of cap space while simultaneously being a title contender. Ironically its the stupid Clippers that should have Shai+iHart at this moment, but decided to trade for Paul George. OKC had the cap space to burn to give iHart 8-10mm more than maybe he his open market value. If the difference was 2-3mm per year or 10mm on the total contract, I'm sure he would have stayed. They had enough cap space to pay him enough to make it a crazy decision not to leave.

No we would have been eliminated by the Celtics in round 2 and Thibs would have still been fired.

For ending Trump’s stupid trade wars by threatening to sell off US treasury bonds?

Seriously. I'm not sure why they didn't have a 3rd year team option on the contract. We had all the leverage when we signed him, considering he had been a career journey-man. That F-up was compounded when we didn't offer him a contract extension before his deal expired. That and the opportunity cost involved in the Evan Fournier debacle might be the death-knell for any legitimate shot we had at a title during this window.

I agree with this take so much. I loved last years team. If we would have just added Bridges to that team we was ready to win a ring. iHart would have got Bridges good shots on offense with his passing. Randle would have been our second play maker. Life is so unfair.

It was telling that all of our critical pieces from that 2023-2024 roster, played pivotal roles for their teams....that ALL made it to the Western Conference Finals: Isiah Hartenstein with OKC as well as Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo with MIN. I DEFINITELY think we would've won a title last year if healthy and likely this year knowing OKC doesn't have Hartenstein (but probably Nic Claxton).

Agree. The depth would have pushed us through.

If we didnt get closer with Randle on an extension he might have been gone anyway
