we already have guys complaining about not enough touches and the ball not moving
this will not be good chemistry. Yes winning cures a lot of things, but if we start losing it can get ugly fast

I'd say that pure starphuckery was the reason, but I think I'd feel different about say, Giannis in a Knicks jersey.
this is how I feel too
Pretty simple to explain why...Durant literally dissed the Knicks and rejected the Knicks. Giannis has always had positive things to say about the Citi of NY and has never had a "mercenary" mentality.
its the Spurs IMO. No way we trade for him. This is Paul George bullshit. Please no
Just remember how KD rejected and mocked us when he signed with Brooklyn! Have some self respect and tell him to play in traffic!

I mean we were coming off a 17 win season, our roster was complete garbage and we didn't have a head coach after firing Fizdale who should never have been hired in the first place. Those were dark days

I agree. The one thing the teams who've had success this post season have in common? Continuity. It will take another season for the team to gel with new pieces and, honestly, I don't think has many more seasons to spare. We weren't that far off of from beating the Pacers in my honest opinion and I don't think a KD trade brings us much closer to beating OKC.
Someone lock the thread!!! lol

Who will be 37 start of next season
I don't know what to make of the 37yo the NBA turning a blind eye to PEDs thing.
GS was AOK giving both Steph and Bulter the same contract.
Boston was AOK with trading for KP knowing his deal. Tatum and Brown also broke down this year and they only in their 20's. Horford was a key player on their team last year and this year and just turned 39 and played ~30mpg.
LeBron at 40 is ageless unicorn.
It is what it is. Human evolution hasn't taken that big a leap in the past 25 years. That said, 37 is still 37 and it is a gamble.

and thats fine, running it back is a fine option as well.
a new coach that can diversify the offense more.
Mitch starting the season healthy.
growth from within.
adding a solid vet in FAgency.
its ironic because we were so healthy last season, but in a way, I almost feel like that hurt us because it let to Thibs running the same 5 man group out there all year, not many ops for others to step up.

Good point. Also good that we have a top notch training and medical staff.
I'm guessing that the next coach will go in knowing that Thibs overplaying his starters was one of the reasons he got fired. I think we will see the next coach focus much more on developing the bench. I doubt they get hired without saying they will.

While these comments could be coming via Knick sources --- it could also be in Knicks favor NOT to seem desperate for KD.
That said - I would sadly probably think they are out on KD

Mitch value as high as it's been probably in 3-4 years --- would be interesting to see maybe if 1 team might overpay for him and we find someone else with some additional skills to man backup 5.

Probably our biggest concern this year will be can we avoid MAJOR injuries again to likes of Jalen/Kat/OG and even Mikal who Thibs treated like Pony Express Horse.

I dont even know what an overpay looks like though, because even getting great value for Mitch, probably doesn't make us better. He's probably more valuable to us than he is to most teams.

Mitch was really valuable to Thibs. Im not sure how he fits another coach. Thibs manta was rim protection and offensive rebounding.

That might have applied in previous seasons, but as long as KAT is here, I think Mitch is insanely valuable to us. Can't have 48 minutes without rim protection.

He picked the nets because of Kyrie. Kyrie picked the nets because of Jay-Z

Steph is getting paid to continue to be the face of the franchise and put asses in the seats. Ditto for Butler who is a big name. The approach is working

Who doesnt want rim protection and offensive rebounding? Teams had to adjust their game plan because of Mitch. Who wouldnt want that kind of player?
