We could in theory trade the Washington pick to move up (if someone wants to move down) to high 2nd or even late 1 - right?

If we created some cap space - would assume Nets might take a couple of future 2nds for 1 of their 6 1st round picks (in 20's).

It wont make a ton of sense to take a 1st rounder given their salary situation. They have future 2s and draft rights they could package to move up

Who has the dirt on Watkins? Sounds like Josh Hart with less rebounding and more pressure defense.

VDesai @ 6/25/2025 6:20 PM
Watkins looks good - I also think they will have interest in:

Johnni Broome
Koby Brea
Vlad Goldin
Tyrese Proctor

Big time college basketball fan....Draft night is one of my favorite nights of the year. Bummed that we dont have a pick tonight especially in a really deep draft. There are a handful of 3 & D players in this draft that can fill a need for us.

Watkins skillset fills a need as does Micah Peavy....Peavy will probably get picked somewhere between 30 and 40 though.

This is one of the first years I don’t know any college kid cause of no firsts.

How’s the top of the second round seem this year?

VDesai @ 6/25/2025 7:20 PM
Just like every year, looks like teams will give defer their 2nds depending on roster spots and money.

Here is the first one

the 2nd round is one of the reasons this draft is so deep..

Ryan Kalkbrenner 7'2 shotblocker that runs the floor very well and can hit a 3.

Johni Broome has good foot work in the post and can score on on most defenders on the block.

Eric Dixon 6'9 260 and has the ability to create hus own offense 20 feet and in.

Tyrese Proctor is a really good spot up shooter.

Micah Peavy, who I mentioned earlier is 6'7 and can play some point forward. Great in the passing lanes on defense, good passes, good in tje midrange and open. I've seen this kid over a dozen times.

He can't shoot. I'd pass. Just saw that he turns 24 next month, so he'd be right at home with the rest of our 'young' players.

Makes sense

Which is why he will slide to the middle of the 2nd. If there when we pick. which I highly doubt, I don't have a problem taking a shot at him.
