So I've posted enough about this , I feel like it could use a separate thread.
Landry Shamet, my type of player. He shot 49% on threes to end 2025 season. He has played spirited defense, often times out of position but hardly giving up much ground. His stats for shot% against are a dream. Look it up, I cannot find it as statmuse refuses to cooperate, but I have read about it and seen it with my eyes :) Relative to the role that he played on the team he completely came through in the playoffs.
So, signing him would represent rewarding guys for playing the right way. For fighting through injuries( it's quite inspiring) It would represent a high level of continuity, which, of course, is a major part of building a culture
I also think that he would absolutely thrive in a high octane offense
Nalod is a Shamet fan as well. As currently constructed would he even get some minutes here? Could he fill in the Deuce role if for some reason he was traded with Mitch?
I agree, he was starting to find a role on the team. Would love to see him under Brown with a full camp.
I'm honestly surprised that other teams aren't after him. I still favor Wright over him as I think he is a better fit for what we need, but I wouldn't mind Shamet returning at all. Another option could be this:

Good for him.
Another guy on the long list of players that came in here with fans unfairly pitting way too high of expectations on.
Not sure how it works $ wise but could Gallo be a guy we bring in later in the season on a pro rated vet min?
Gallo did not play in the NBA last year. Was with 3 teams in 23-24 and played 49 games. Was trade fodder a bit.
His brush with death:
According to multiple sources, before Kim Kardashian began dating Kris Humphries, she was extremely interested in dating Gallinari, who was told that such a move would be good for his career and that he would garner lots of media exposure. Gallinari declined, saying he would be happy to meet Kardashian but wasn't interested in dating her.[55]
Recall he was dating michelle trachtenberg (RIP) when as a 21 year old.
His wife,

got some kids, 3rd on the way.....
Shamet would be fine. Decent enough as a 10th man. But at this point I’d try for Malik Beasley first, although I assume he has better option both financially and role.

I'm not really familiar with Shamet and his game. I know he can shoot but can't he handle the ball as well ? If asked can't he be a second ball handler ?
maybe we havnet b/c we are monitoring Beasely situation, interesting

A lot being written that other teams could offer him 7mm and more. While he mignt not be in legal trouble he was evicted for not paying rent and might be having money issues. Those alimony/palimony payments are painful. Legal bills can add up.
Thought some news broke out in last game or two vs. knicks and he had some rough shooting in those games?
As for Shamet, this kid was doing fine but season before last had shooting tail off. He was to reboot himself with us last year. Good handle, Passing, and quick to the rim. Very good off ball movement! His defense is acceptable given his foot speed is exceptional. Clarkson is the better player and get why we slotted in.
Landry is a tier below DDV but that depends on DDV shooting consistancy. They are not that far apart. Thats not a knock onn Donte BTW. We had perhaps his best season and he showed up big time in the playoffs when asked. Landry first few years were very strong but as said tailed off here. I like where he finnished for us last season.
Don't matter what the fan thinks, its Brown and who he can use if at all. Same for Deuce and Kolek as well. Seems the Simmons thing won't be happening with knicks. Al Horford still is associated with Warriors who have the Kuminga thing to work thru perhaps first?
Westbrook looms free also. Seems at this stage he and Josh are sort of interchanable in some aspects. Not saying interchangeably the same, just the high energy push the ball thing. Westbrook can score but not rebound as well as josh who is excellent.
Get the sense Knicks might do a trade given the roster? Josh or Deuce? Not advocating for it.
Dadiet is going emerge this season. By the end of training camp and the preseason he will opening eyes. He will get run at the 3/4 when injuries and fouls emerge. He will be ok. Pacome can run, shoot, cut and play D.
