Don Julio is having a great start to 2025 — 25/6/7 on .601 eFG. Only 11 games but it’s like Randle found the best version of him. Hope he keeps it up for the season.

Even winning the lottery and drafting a highly regarded prospect couldn’t take the pressure off of him. I feel like between the Doncic trade and the New Orleans trade to send out their own/ milwaukees unprotected pick, we have had 2 of the most head-scratching trades in the modern nba. How are these people allowed to run teams and how do these trades make it through entire office offices with so many checks and balances?

Eventually we will have to have a draft thread because we have our own first round pick and a likely high Washington second round pick. This is a good chance to start to add some development pieces we are suddenly fairly dry of. Dadiet, Kolek, Hukporti, and Diawara are all usable but none of them have popped in a way that indicates future rotation mainstays.
In this draft I’d love to grab a developmental big man (Yabusele is tough to watch right now) and a shooter/ wing prospect.
Ejiofor from St John’s and Toppin (no relation to Obi/ Jacob) are guys who can help provide depth in the front court and might be available end of the first round.
Some wings to keep an eye on in the late first/ second round : Karaban (shooter), McNeil (shooter/ scorer), Byrd (3&D-ish), D Williams (playmaking wing)

it's rare that I feel genuine empathy for another fan base, but man do I feel for DAL fans. It sucked for me watching us trade guys like RJ, Grimes, IQ and DDV, I can't imagine trading a generational player, and somehow getting less than what we got for RJ and IQ.
Went from being envious of them when they had KP, Luka, Brunson and THJR... to this,

They got somewhat bailed out by getting flagg. Imagine if they got the 10th pick and picked a future role player ? At least there’s a direction now. But having Doncic and Brunson and seeing them now has to be rough.

Defense. Knicks will be one of the best offensive teams and I'd guess that it'll be the other side of the ball that'll be the biggest determinant of how they end up on the season.
