Brunson in the last frame there looks like he's thinking, "Man I hope we get to play you in the finals soon."
Clean @ 6/17/2026 7:27 AM

I been saying since they started it that the Knicks bringing the old guys back is one of my fav things. I had no idea they still pay some of these guys. I know the big guy like Pat and Starks because they are still part of the team but the other guys. Look Dolan has major issues and I was on him for that trump crap he pulled but he has some really good qualities and people just seem to ignore them. I might have said it before but being really invested in another WNBA team with a cheap owner made me understand just how good we have it as Knicks fan. No wonder all the former Knicks love him outside of Oak.

Knicks being the standard on and off the court is surreal!

Dolan has done a lot of stupid shit in his ownership tenure but embracing the "legends" has been great for the fans. Lets be real,, not all are true legends. Tim "Fugazy" Thomas gets to hang. Bernard King had a great albeit breif run and treated like an all tim egreat. Seen at the finals also was Spencer Haywood! His HOF cred is not as a knick but he gets to hang.
As awful as Dolan can be, he made nice with Latrell perhaps proving he can rise to an occasion.

The Oak thing? I think I read he'd meet him half way? I can only think his motivation would be for the fans to enjoy.

Kudo's to JR smith for maturing and recently getting a college degree at HBC North Carolina A&T up in Greensboro, NC.
Recall he was set to play at UNC Chapel Hill but went from HS to NBA. His Bone Head antics and Vehicular Manslaughter issues were awful things. His best friend died in a car accident when he did something really stupid driving his car.
JR was not the sharpest crayon in the box but his talent cannot be denied!

Dolan finally got the monkey off his back. Hopefully this proceeds to bear good fruit in the years to come and the Knicks maintain this standard!

I don’t remember Nelson being such a big dude…

Philc1 @ 8/10/2026 1:00 PM
Don really looked burnt out and washed when we fired him in 1996. Then he comes back a few years later with the mavs and develops Dirk and Nash. One of the all time greats.
Nalod @ 8/10/2026 1:45 PM

3X coach of the year and hell of a guy!
Was only 55 when Knicks fired him. Ewing was about to be Free agent and wanted out because Knicks wanted to run and he could not.
Knicks could not figure out a trade in time to get Shaq for Ewing. Shaq instead left ORL and got nothing in return. Rumor was Shaq wanted LA as he aspired to be an actor and was big into the music thing then so perhaps we make the deal and get left with no ewing or Shaq?
Ewing wanted to be paid and to do so could not be part of a fast pace schematic. Dolan was scared of losing his star attraction. Ewing wanted JVG. Ewing got what he wanted.

Reading Lebron contract gives him unlimited Helicopter access and he gonna commutte to NYC?
Hey, glad he wants that and wanted to play for KNicks and was aware of the optics if he did so.
Hope he has a great season, but knicks eliminate Philly in playoffs!
He has a player option for next year. I'd welcome him if we don't win back to back.
If PHilly can pull it off it be a great capstone to an amazing career.
Outide of Embiid I could live with that if our run is not meant to last. Better them than Indy or Clev.
Boston? Fuck them. Even with Mitch.
Panos @ 10/11/2026 11:01 AM
What's wrong with Cleveland? I harbor them no ill will.

Nah, we don’t need anyone with that kind of entitlement. Besides he looked useless on defense and that’s not our identity. Let’s see how many games he actually plays. I think it would be bad for the lockeroom. Let him do his farewell tour in Philly. Also, isn’t that circumventing the salary cap?

Nalod @ 10/11/2026 4:42 PM
He makes like 4mm.

How do you percieve he'd be bad for locker room next year?

By definition, entitlement is the - belief that one inherently deserves special treatment or privileges. Maybe he does but it’s still entitlement by definition

He smells like rotten eggs and farts like a mule.

No locker room is safe with Lebron James in it.

Universally respected and distributer of the ball. The man has gone thru many phases of a career to be pigeon holed into one charateristic. He was an arrogant young man. IN the age of player empowerment he took full advantage of it. Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Paul, PG13 and others are not liked for it. The decision was an awful look. Bad idea and execution even worse. That was 16 years ago.

He didn't take the vet min. Sixers is like the perfect team for him to be on. So that we can beat them. Is PG13 still on that team? Yeah, they aren't going anywhere if that's the case. That team is prime for a psychological meltdown

LOL......They mortgaged the future for Jaylen Brown.
No PG13.

Depth? Well thats always the issue with top heavy teams.
