Mitch out for opener —- what is the injury?
Begley saying it’s load management—- what is ridiculous is how much he played first few games.
So you play him in abu Dabi but not at garden for home opener????
VERY ODD and hard to believe that;s the truth.
MIke is the mouth piece but its an organizational thing.
"telling what we want to hear vs the truth"? The is is the NBA, players do it all the time.
For all we know Mitch has pain, is scared about getting another contract, and the team knows fans are impatient.
If there is a trade brewing and we holding him out, thats another story.
But this is not about "load management", its been a week since he last played and if there is an injury well we'll find out soon enough!

I don't buy it. There is something they are not telling us. Don't be surprised when the injury is revealed 2 weeks from now.

Are you paranoid? Yes. Is there a bit of truth to what you're saying based on past behavior? Yeah.
Are we seeing a stealth hold out of Mitch wanting an extension or a trade?
Preseason was a try out to demonstrate he is healthy. Now he sitting as teams working on a trade and a price?
This a contentious situation of sorts where logic dictates he play the season out and then set the market price?
Are Knicks even interested in extending given his penchant for missing games?
"Load management" on opening night? No, he either has a nagging injury and we'll see him on Friday night....
or...
He is getting MRI/evaluation and there might be some time off......
Or....
He is demanding a trade/extension and won't play. Maybe knicks promised him a deal? Maybe all are cool with it all and it just plays out without media knowledge.
Its not logical to have "Load Management" as its playing out. One has to be a bit suspect to the disclosure as its publicly been presented.
Be curious to have an ass-hang thread who thinks Mitch will be a Knick next year after considering the Knick's salary limits vs Mitch's perennial unavailability. Unless he's willing to settle for something in the range where he's currently paid, I think he'll not be. Even his current contract might be too much.

I think Mitch must've read this before last night's game.
Injuries aside... how much of a similar impact does Mitch have to what Rodman had?

Different but similar. They both could dominate a 60 second stretch and change the game right there. Rodman had some coast to coast similar to Josh but had length and tools. HOF!!!! Mitch offensive rebounding and rim protection can turn a game. For all his warts we do overlook at times KAT defensive rebounding and outlet passing is elite.
Combined this is a very potent potential. Might be just for this year.
All the while OG and MIkal are off to great starts!
The players know he can both cover their defensive mistakes and don't mind when they don't pass the ball to him lol
