Hart's hand is fucked but he has 13 reb in 18 min and some huge ones

Brunson with another save job as the Knick offense froze in time. Hart's rebounding saved them

Always happy to beat the Celtics.
Really felt like the refs were letting a lot go tonight. And then they call the Deuce foul for 3??
I would feel much better letting Josh rest longer, but can't deny the impact he has on the floor.

Good win! Wasn't 100% perfect and plenty of room for improvement but we have to stack up these home wins!
The Cap was really good and dominated in the 4th like always. Made a huge 3 and found Deuce in the corner and KAT for a dunk to seal it. Our stars brought it! JB with 31 and KAT with 26 and 13. Liked how Kolek and that second unit played in the 2nd. And we again killed on the glass 53 to 37! Hart had 14 with 6 offensive!

I’d agree with you but then we’d both be wrong.
This. I like RJ but OG, injuries notwithstanding, is a much better player in every respect.

OG didn't go into the locker room so I'll take that as a good sign. Maybe a cramp or soft tissue

Brown gets away with a lot of elbows and nonsense. He’s very Draymond-esque.

Overall great performance. This team actually looks like there’s a truly elite team here. I can definitely see top 10 on both sides of the ball and maybe even top 5.
Not sold on the small ball lineup versus the bigger lineup. But I guess time will tell. Bigger lineup just seems better to start games. Reminds me of the Warriors when they started guys like Bogut despite having the “death lineup”. Set the tone with the defense and size.

Knicks built a 20 point lead and never let it get under 9-10 points. This is NBA … everyone makes a push when they are down big. Knicks held it together and never let it get within true striking distance. That’s all you can ask for.

Was good to see Burner find a little rhythm. Felt like he was struggling. Definitely holding the ball too long and slowing down the offense and off ball motion. That will change. Ball handling was getting sloppy before he checked back in. Kolek got me loud with that behind the back pass to the Celtics. Got a little too comfortable.

It’s nice to see some of the good stuff Thibs drilled into this team holdover into the Brown years i.e rebounding philosophy.
NGL I am really loving what Brown is doing here. Love the offense, love the deep bench, letting guys like Kolek play through mistakes, KAT playing point Center, Brunson running around off ball like Curry. The hard hats awarded to defensive player of the game. All of this is great stuff.

Josh was great and Brown said he’s “never seen anything like it” with regards to his rebounding impact but that finger on his shooting hand is gonna be a problem all year. I suppose his lack of shooting won’t get exposed in the same way off the bench and in a more free flowing offense but it seems like he’s gonna have issues finishing around the basket with that hand which is one of his greatest strengths let alone having any ability to hit an open shot.

How does KAT hit 4 for 6 from 3pt, and then 2 for 10 from 2pt?

Half the time he drives, he's not going for the bucket, he's going for the foul (and not getting it).

Exactly. He could get the calls but I think he spends too much time acting like he deserves it and not enough time proving that the contact changes the outcome by just balling. Other guys get those calls but I don’t think he is making his case properly with his facial expressions and complaints. Brunson tends to get those calls.

I don't think rebounding is a Thibs thing. We just have a team of good rebounders. Mitch, Hart and Kat has some huge rebounding games.

Think we were down 30-24 when Kolek/Clarkson entered early in the 2nd and Kolek immediately found OG and Mikal for 2 3's to tie game.
Then there was a stretch mid-2nd where Yabu got his hands on 3 straight misses - either grabbing offensive board or causing us to get possession - mixed in there he had a pick/pop 3... in a nice stretch.
Then only up around 8 when Brunson checks back in late 2nd and we go on a quick barrage to move the lead to 20 at the 1/2.
Kat is so frustrating (primarily because he's so good) -- still with limited touches manages 26/13.
Jalen still hunting too much for my liking but looks good moving.
Some really nice moments with quick fast breaks - 1 with Hart/Jalen/Mikal and ball not touching floor.
OG/Mikal were clunky on offense --- thought Shamet has looked good and probably deserves more minutes.
Where was Huck last night??? Just a match-up thing???
