The offense is brutal but this collectively is a team that has stood around playing off Jalen past few years.
The notion of Mikal, OG, Kat putting ball on floor and making good decisions is dangerous at best - throw in guys like Hart and that's a lot of mistakes.
Watching Jalen cross just over 1/2 court against pressure, struggle to hand off ball to Mikal almost on the 1/2 court line and then they turn around and Mikal hands it back to Jalen and still 35 feet out and nothing has happened - CRAZY.

Probably true. He is annoying, but he is a great offensive player who is clearly out of sync

I actually don't believe this - I think it's mental.
J Crawford doing the game - didn't use the injury excuse he said "Kat is in his own head".
If we are being so careful with everyone with injuries and load management - why would we be running out Kat (injured) in these games.

Ryan Rollins put up 25 in 26 minutes on near flawless shooting vs Jalen....I really don't care about him filling it up. Guard somebody.

Had to be one of the worst games by KAT in his career. Can’t be 100%. Team was awful from 3.

Could Kat purposely be tanking his trade value?
Me personally and also based on M Browns post-game comments- I don’t believe an injury is the issue.
At a minimum he’s sulking about play style and at worst he’s got wind of real trade rumors and is trying to play like ass.

KAT face expressions and the way he is playing is very strange, as if he was not forced to play for this team!

Wasn’t fun to watch. Except when Shamet’s stroke was pure.
KAT is clearly the scapegoat tonight mostly for his stupid fouls. But his frustration led to chucking.
I’m telling myself they are learning ball movement before they play cohesive and start adding off ball motion and such. Transitioning from a PnR team to a spread offense.
The lapses on defense and the chucking is painful though.

It will take them a while to adjust to a new system, but 40 second half points is bad. They are shooting like ass, especially from 3. It might turn around, but they also may not be a good shooting team. They have guys that can make 3s, but very few pure shooters that will keep high 3 pt efficiency at high volume. Like Kat and Brunson can shoot 40 pct from 3, but they tend to max out at taking 5-6 3s per game in their shot diet.

He's not mentally tough...can't depend on him in big games. Also as mentioned earlier...can't win without shooters.

Another disappointing crappy loss! Not hitting the panic button though! Growing pains were expected.
Brutal game by KAT! It happens. He's clearly figuring it out where he fits in this new system. He's an All-NBA and NBA All-Star. He'll be fine.
But this loss wasn't just on KAT. OG and Hart weren't good either to be fair. The entire team sucked in the second half! Give the Bucks credit! Giannis was a monster! OG just couldn't do anything when that guy is playing like that. Can't get beaten by AJ Green and Rollins either - 7/9 combined from three.
The Cap dominated offensively but wasn't good defensively or playmaking. Especially in the second half. We scored 45 points in the 2nd and only 40 total in the second half. The offense looked stuck in mud and too much one on one and the ball movement and player movement weren't there. Again, growing pains. We all saw what this offense should look like in that 2nd quarter. It's going to take some time.
I liked how Mikal and Shamet played.

We do keep reading KAT "Questionable" given a quad injury.
We can surmise that he is not tanking to be traded or perhaps lost in the process of Browns offnese. He might have mobility issues.
Quetion is should he be playing?
While we might applaud his effort to power thru it, perhaps its detremental to the effort.

Brown & Brunson both made some comments post game that would lead one to believe he is struggling to get Kat to buy into offense.
"I promise you. If we do the things that we're talking about offensively, in terms of our staples, KAT is gonna be more than fine. We gotta play with a little bit of pace. All of us, individually. I've talked to KAT about it".
- Mike Brown
“I talk to [Towns], we talk and it’s a process for all of us,” Brunson said. “There are gonna be times when things aren’t going one of our ways and it’s on us as teammates to have his back. “But at some point, all of us go through a lull in the season. I don’t even want to call it a lull. It’s just we’re still learning and everything is brand new for us. We’re not gonna use that excuse for a long time.
In addition - for what's it worth Big Knick Energy (potential insider info) post on X stating - Mike Brown has a lot of work to do in order to make Karl Towns a happy teammate.
If Brown & or Jalen were worried about a Kat injury they would mention such injury but instead both talking about mental points (BUY IN).

I'm of the belief Kat's issues are not injury or discomfort with system --- he's sulking over the Giannis rumors - PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
1) if he were injured they would be sitting him
2) there is nothing in this offense that would upset Kat - hell we spent all of last year ignoring him for entire 1st quarters where Brunson got his and basically ignored Kat. Then just playing in the offense Kat put up 25/12 like nothing - if anything this offense plays more to his strengths.
He's sulking and not sure I blame him after big year last year and coming home to NY - then he gets word Knicks almost moved him during summer.

Let Hart skip the rebounding line and just keep going to back of shooting line

While I'm whining Josh a -18 in 25 minutes with 1-5 shooting and 3 points
Bucks basically had Josh's guy planted in the paint doubling whomever had the ball.
The 1 sequence where Hart clumsily dribbles ball over 1/2 court with no pressure - gets over 1/2 court fumbles dribble again then while tripping over himself almost passes ball out of bounds only for Jalen to save it. I mean - Josh is another 1 with head up ass right now (don't want to hear about finger because watched him tossing balls into stands last year).
Also Huck has quickly shriveled up into non factor -- no presence on either end and no rim protection - getting token minutes and to the bench. Was expecting him to make an impact a little bit.

I agree. That’s definitely contributing to this. He was absolutely putrid last night worst game I have ever seen him play by far and what a coincidence it was at Milwaukee the team Rose is trying to trade him. And can we really blame KAt? NY >>>>>> Milwaukee

it is a top shelf ridiculous assertion. One of the more ridiculous things suggested here. That's wild. A guy cant have a sketchy stretch without him thinking he's going to quit on his teammates and game he loves cause phuck it they might trade me? Really? We got Jet fans talking about what's ridiculous

"That’s definitely contributing to this". LIke you are in his head and can speak for him? You said "definitely"!
Totally ingnoring daily reports he is "Questionable" given his quad issues?
And you know it was KAT vs. perhaps OG with other assets?
Now Im not saying in the aftermath Giannis is cool with staying, or Leon did not offer him up but KAT been in the League 10 years and understands the ramifications that if you take max money, you are making a choice of freedom vs. multigenerational wealth.
I get that perhaps you might feel so dispondent portraying how you'd handle such a thing that sulking would be your go to move, but give hiim at least the benefit of thought. Is that not an option?
KAT can simply exercise his right to suggest a trade to milwaukee would insure he is not going to extend with them and would ride out until he is a free agent and all the risks that come with that. Thats his right. Otherwise he makes his own choice otherwise.
Also to be considered is KAT involved in a three way say with PHX to he might be amicable to landing there? Or Perhaps Miami does a thing with BAM where he is moved to MIlwaukee and KAT to South Beach? Other considerations of course but as core pieces.
