It seems like he's been sufficiently fucked since the year the NBA gifted him the conference finals, and a ludicrous contract.
Does any team want Trae right now?
Been a rough stretch of games for defense
Time to get healthy and get the defense right

Jalen/Kat playing ZERO D - particularly after first few weeks of season when training camp focus may have still been strong.
Kat specifically is a HUGE drain on this team --- think I saw some positive defensive metrics for him recently and for life of me can't believe he's a positive anything. Plus his offensive fouls are TO's that lead to more offense for opposition.

Still looks like quite a grind to me with 3 back to backs and games basically every other day or back/back.
Keep using the bench and give guys like Brunson some extra days off --- kids are playing well/tough/smart (use them).

Everybody gets healthy just in time for NY garden games -- really crazy.
Who will be scrub of night tonight? Think Risacher put up +30 on us last year but that was in Atlanta.
Okongwu with 12 3's tonight with Kat asleep in paint to best Champagne 11 3's game.

As well, Brown been using the kids more so that may add another layer for the defense at times.
Trae ain't playing
Makes it a much tougher game

Pretty ugly but if it goes in it goes in

Maybe way off here but Kat seems to be constantly questionable this year with either minor illnesses or injuries.
Wonder if he’s being a Diva over role or being in trade rumors or just a bunch of minor stuff popping up.

Not that bad but wish he had his release much higher —- really rooting for this kid because I think he can guard and I know he can get to the rim, dribble the ball without falling down and playmake.
Guy I always go back to in terms of his form as a rookie to where he ended career in terms of shot form improvement is Trevor Ariza. Brutal form as a rookie and quite nice form at end of his career — the shot can be cleaned up.

I have no idea what it takes to build a new jump shot form from scratch or how long it typically takes, but McCullar just needs to do it one summer. Maybe after he signs a decent contract.

I also worry about his finishing at the rim. He's quick, but he plays below the rim and struggles in traffic.
