First off --- playing 12 straight minutes is more difficult than say an 8-10 minute stint especially for a guy that is creating so much offense for us. In order to do that Brunson appears to be resting or going less than 110% defensively.

Maybe I'm off here but would rather have him available for more 2nd, 3rd or 4th quarter minutes than using up 1/3 of his avg. game playing time in Q1.

This also forces Kolek/Clarkson to sit entire 1st quarter before getting their feet wet into game.

Sure this is probably Jalen's preference but I don't get it personally - take him out after 9 minutes or so in 1st and use those 3 minutes in 2nd half of the game.

Be interested to see how many players across the league play the entire 1st quarter as often as Brunson.

Not a big deal OBVIOUSLY but something I've noticed and just find a bit weird that we need to run Jalen entire 1st quarter.

Been thinking the same thing. While every other bench player gets subbed in during the first quarter, Kolek has to wait until the 2nd quarter.

Whether Kolek is scoring or not, the team has been steadiest under his guidance lately and his influence on the game should start earlier IMO.

Jalen been doing it for past couple of years at least. Prob a way of distributing his and KAT’s minutes. Randle before that.

Just seems like a thing the player asked for?
