Ok fair points. Yabu is 3rd, behind Eddy and JJ and ahead of Felton.
martin @ 2/5/2026 8:58 PM
LOL

12points and 5 rebounds while shoot 2-3 from downtown. His best game of year. Man he flew to Chicago quick

martin @ 2/5/2026 8:59 PM
Eh

We could really use another big, hopefully this Yabu guy on CHI gets bought out?

It's absolutely hilarious that on his first night in Chicago he goes for season highs in points, rebounds, threes, and assists.

I like Kolek more than.Alvarado, but kudos to the front office turning a useless contract into a useful one.

Don't care how well Yabu does. He could not play the role we need from him.

Leon Rose wrapped him in bubble wrap and put him on Dolan’s private plane with a pen taped to his hand

Luka looks a bit porkier than this svelt summer look and has an MRI scheduled for his hamstring injury last night.
Meanwhile Jokic is the best basketball player on the planet and has tits.
Its a new world.
There is no way Mavs ever "win" trading Luka but the final tally will be told still a few years away.

As for Yabu, He played well in the summer FIBA events and not sure it was being out of shape was the sole culprit. He had a full camp and no doubt time to improve. He has to some extent but obvious he and Brown did not execute a style. Good dude and I thought he handled everything like a pro. Diawa rise made it easy and perhaps less a priority to get another big man via trade.
We have room to sign someone and I gather that will occur at some point.
