Six minutes without a field goal.
KAT and Brunson choke at the line.
We did not deserve to win this game. That was embarrassing!

By a single point we avoided what would've been our most embarrassing loss of the past several years. A win's a win but it was still a putrid effort.
You can just feel that the ending to this season is going to be very disappointing and painful.
This team ain't it.
And I hate to say this but it starts with Brunson.
I love how Nets were allowed to mug us the entire game start to finish 94 feet - hacking & hacking, kung foo fighting
We look so unathletic for a top team - amazing lack of athleticism
There are a number of things I like about Jalen Brunson, but I'm not sure he's playable the way he struggles to bring the ball upcourt under pressure.
Reminds me of mid season where we had a cupcake schedule and were barely scraping past teams like Indiana and New Orleans. It preceded the 2-8 stretch. Hopefully we can snap out of this one before one of those stretches.
A consistent feature of this team is inconsistency. They have huge peaks and valleys. But there's no doubt what they are capable of when they get hot. So everything will come down to whether they can turn it on or not for the post season. It's not really worth judging or predicting anything at this point, they can be horrible or they can be a contender. We've seen it all. Reality is they are top 5 or close to it in both offense and defense. That's elite basketball for an entire season and you can't fake your way to that. There is a contender somewhere in this team, but it has to show at the right time.

Good points. I'd say even bad teams are inconsistant as they do win games from time to time. Bad teams beat good teams all the time. Its just not "consistant'.
Knicks are a top 5 team in the League. Mabe fair to say they are that second tier that is 2-7 given the proximity of records, but one has to consider last 10 games for teams that are falling, or getting its shit together.
Vs. young athletic teams perhaps we struggle a bit but we prevail. So do other teams. At seasons end the records speak for themselves but its those last 20 games the speak loudest?
While we can break it down over and over again we can at least acknowledge ESPN does it with its power rankings and we are 5th. All teams go thru bad stretches, hot streaks, and often their records are not them. BKN sucks but they have some decent wins to their credit and this month beat Detroit and Memphis back to back. Memphis sucks but they knotched a win vs. Denver in the last week which is a quality win.
We want to feel oh so confident going into the playoffs in a season where our window is open. I don't think any teams fans really can BTW. Maybe OKC?
Reality is matchups really will matter. We don't have to beat all the teams in the east and the good lord willing just one out west if we advance. There lies trechery in the low end. For goodness sake Miami and CLT would be in a playin game if the season ended today!
We just need a plan B when the three isn’t going in, which is every game lately. We are not a good 3pt shooting team, very hot and cold. We go cold when we are on the road for consecutive games and don’t practice and then slowly get hot when we are back in NY for stretches. Hopefully this evens out by the playoffs.
