Trading for Harden......

They are over the apron. THe second one!
Garland has been unreliable and this was the season for them.
Harden is supposed to be the 3rd best player on this team.

1. Mobley
2. Donovan Mitchel
3. Harden

This was the year Mobley who is being paid big boy money now. He is now 24 and looks rail thin. Might not be his "fault" but it is.
Im not going to break it down but this team was planned this way. Donovan mitch is a musclular kid and a hell of a player. He is 6-1. Looks and plays bigger and perhaps we all think he he "chokes" but again. Good reminder about small guys not being the best player on a championship team.

Clev had two small guys with Garland. Harden is old and does not have great playoff history. That does not mean all the games were bad. They were not. Its just that he never showed up as the playoff alpha.
Not sure why anyone is suprised about Donovan. He is a hell of a player and gets you there, but if you look at the range of difficulty of the shots he took down the stretch it was delusional. Detroit needs more props here. This t eam is full of long athletic guys adn the degree of difficulty goes up on Mitchell/Harden to come from behind.

I know we all get to "But Brunson little too!" True, and we have not gotten there have we? Great as he has been, we have not gotton to finals! As others here have said and in media whom we all love to hate has also said that KAT need to be the guy. For that matter OG has been right there also excelling!!! When that happens JB gets to do his thing and close it out.

Detroit? Props to Duncan Robinson and Tobias Harris! They set the table for Cade who has been brilliant as a closer.
Yes, Clev has sucked. YEs, Harden is a wonderful Scapegoat. Fans hate the old guys!

1. Lebum
2. Durant
3. Harden

Westbrook is off the list given his decline and low salary. Steph Curry is still getitng it done but injury prone as he ages and has a lot of good will credits to burn before he gets any shit.

IM not here to defend Harden. Its a trade that despite a good run by Clev with him in the regular season is not looking too good now but its a trade they had to make to get a chance. Mobley is not getting it done leaving Donovan and Harden vulnerable.

How are these OKC players not fined?

gradyandrew @ 5/8/2026 12:50 PM
Never really paid attention to this before- the NBA has to start giving out techs for these plays.

If the Cavs FO were smart, they would have kept Darius Garland and used him as someone to bundle others to trade for in a Giannis swap.

Now they are potentially fucked

The ref literally watching to see if the ball was gonna go in to call the foul that wasn't really a foul.

To be fair…I’ve noticed the refs do this a lot this season with every team. If the shot goes in, the let the foul go.
It’s almost like in soccer. The referee may let a foul go if the team maintains possession.

Yeah. And to be doubly fair, all of it sucks for the fans

Brunson is a better player than DM anyway

Even the refs are nuts

We're the only team that can stop Wemby.

More often than not, the best move is the one you don’t make. Imagine if LAC never traded for Paul George? Leon’s moves were very calculated and we can debate the Mikal trade but he held his bullets on many moves and it was a smart decision on probably all of them.

IMHO one of the underrated parts of the Mikal trade was his salary. For the past 2 years, he has made $23.3M and $25M with his extension jumping to $33.5M next year. Knicks could have been over the cap the last 2 years but were not - plus the Brunson contract - and now, looking forward, they pretty much have to be over the second apron next year whereas the clock and penalize that come with it creep in don't hit for 2 years.

Before last nights' game

Go Jules.

We won right? I haven’t had a chance to check how much we won by yet.

Atkins will take the fall. Seems any success he has is short-lived.

one thing in Cleveland's favor is they have managed to stick around even while playing like crap. If they get their shit together they can make a series out of it. But that's a big IF because I don't sense any real "heart" on this team. Strus seems to be the only one playing with guts
