Personally I wish him (and many others like rj, iq, ihart etc) success other than when they face the Knicks.

Not true for everyone though. I am in the Melo hater camp because I think he made a promising roster (which was still under construction) toxic because he was so selfish and self-centered.

+1
Agree with all the above.

Melo came here when we were trying to turn it around too. Why? Because he wanted to get his money before the new CBA kicked in. He screwed himself by doing so and he was selfish player as well. Same as Julius. He came here after the team that drafted him traded him to a team that didn't want him anymore. We gave him good money. Why the double standard? He was a selfish player who thought he was the straw that stirred the drink.

As for RJ/IQ I don't care what they do elsewhere but, they were here and they loved playing here. They didn't want to be traded. Sucks for them.

Shart can kick rocks. Do I blame him for taking the money and running away? Not really but, I dislike him because of it and I hate the fact that he won!! He could have won here if he committed. It was the HC that drove him away. That's why it's only dislike and not hate.

Amare was playing mvp ball before melo came, and we shouldn’t have traded for him. If we loved him we should have waited for his FA

Melo also took a KP who was still promising and saying the right things and created a very toxic situation. No parallel for JuJu

And while juju pouty face is infamous, most of the time he works his ass off. Couldn’t say that for Melo who fairly regularly exerted zero energy on defense.

Not feeling like it’s a double standard

I support this comment.

To be clear - Julius frustrated the hell out of me but also saw the positives of his offensive physicality, ball handling/passing at 6’9” —- he just wasn’t fully trust worthy in key games, spots, series.

Kat was much the same but has most recently donned Superman (Bill Walton) cape ——- hopefully he doesn’t turn over leaf to Lois Lane and we can complete magical run.

OG walking out of the locker room onto court smoking a cigarette is always a good sign

Julius was a head case. It's kind of a a double standard. I mean you're using Amar'e to say Melo didn't join a turnaround? Melo did help us get to the playoffs and the second round IIRC. Carried us there one year. I didn't like him either under the circumstances.

They're both long gone and the team is better. I'm gonna let those wounds heal. Not looking to pick old scabs. The scars are bad enough.

We have a great team to root for. Tomorrow is a new day if we're lucky. Let's go Knicks.

Sucks to see Randle struggle again in the playoffs. I remember he was a lot better last year and helped Minnesota win some games. Hopefully he can finish strong cause they will need him tonight! Maybe he's this generations Cliff Robinson, who was always such a good regular season player but always played like shit in the playoffs. Harden is like that too.

Are we talking about the year the Hawks were playing suffocating defense, and made it to the conference finals? And Reggie Bullock couldn't get open to catch a pass to save his life? Although it's hard to blame Reggie, he had to chase Trae around with ridiculous rules the NBA changed that offseason.

Or are we talking about the year Randle was playing on the ankle that needed surgery? The ankle he injured right before the playoffs started?

That said, Julius is now having a bad series. And I think he is healthy. So haters can legitimately hate now. Congrats!

I'm sure Wemby hurts the bully ball, but Julius has to adapt.

On a skinny’ish sample size, this is an insane turnaround that also seems strangely sustainable

Funky background beats too

This is the first time I'm enjoying watching KAT play on a regular basis.

He is embracing his inner Hartenstein. All he needs now is an automatic floater.

Seriously though, if all he did was rack up assists and rebounds I'd be okay with that. Scoring is icing on the cake.

markvmc @ 5/15/2026 7:45 PM
Hoping for the Cavs to close out tonight, and give us home court in the Eastern finals.
