Contrary to popular belief, we win this series in 6.

Problem, as I have said for last few years, we don’t have a legitimate PF, SG and our star lead player is 6’1.
Not a formula for a chip. Knicks should have sided with Thibs and got rid of wonder boy and his dad.
Just not a fun thing to watch knowing your SG shows up once every 10
Games, your power forward is a SF that can’t shoot and your PG Star player will be physically outmatched when it counts.

With that said, we can still
Get hot and go on a run.
Curious to see if Brown changes things up a bit and goes deeper on the bench.

This you!?

martin @ 4/24/2026 3:57 PM
Yeah this'll add to the fun

Couch potato tweeters just like us can pick out better defensive lineups than Brown

This defensive matchup lineup for the Knicks - Deuce Shamet Hart Mikal OG - is just about smaller at every position than Hawks who roll with CJ NAW Kuminga JJ Okongwu.

Knicks: 6’2, 6’5, 6’6, 6’5, 6’7

Hawks: 6’3, 6’5, 6’7, 6’8, 6’10

That’s what Brown went with while not playing Mitch or Sochan or Mo.

nycericanguy @ 4/24/2026 4:43 PM
i still do think we win the next 3, even great teams gets tested in the playoffs. ATL was the best team in the east after the ASB with CJ.

We could easily be up 3-0, but at the very least should be up 2-1 right now.

Never heard of him. He should be locked up!

Have to be positive or else lose our shit!

The proper nomenclature is to specify what kind of potato we are.

I'm told I'm a sweet couch potato

Knicks are in a position where they are reacting to their opponent instead of dominating with their style and strengths. Not good

It might be a good idea to start the next game thread with pictures of grossly overweight trailer park girls in too-tight tube skirts

We haven’t fallen behind in a playoff series we’ve actually won in as long as I can remember. So this feels like a death sentence.

But many teams have fallen behind 2-1 or 3-2 and won - it happens all the time every year. Shit, we went up 2-0 on Indy a few years ago and lost.

When Brunson wasn't getting cooked 1:1, he was right there to give up some devastating loose balls or ORB's down the stretch. They are just relentlessly picking on him, sorta like Indy did with Towns last year.

I’d love to hide him, as in leave him out of it.

I really hate it that instead of being smart about how they are playing him, Brunson is taking it personally and is trying to simply push through like he doesn’t have a team of talented people that can win the game. Honestly, this series so far has really hurt Brunson’s reputation a lot.

One thing is to obviously point out that the offense needs to go through KAT and that he need way more touches than he is getting. But also, for as much as I hate him, Bridges has to be way more involved than he is.

I swear, the mental capacity of this team needs to be studied because it’s incredible how a team can collectively play against their own good with such epic precision.

Not a well oiled machine

martin @ 4/24/2026 7:07 PM
Especially in playoffs games

I’d consider this a big enough sample size to say that there is a problem with the offense.

This, happening in the playoffs, is the only argument you need for Mike Brown's firing.

You are the freaking coach and you have a full season to get these guys on the same page.

This team is such an embarrassment.

He’s also there best passer. In fact everyone in the starting line up is an especially good and willing passer. That ball should be moving. Make the defense work. Get the ball to KAT. Get the ball to whoever CJ is guarding. They have holes on defense

Rick Brunson told Brown it was not.

Knicks dragged this anchor around for 20 minutes and still only lost by 1

Did this game count towards his streak?

I think the streak is the worst thing that ever happened to him. It's made him soft. I hate wishing injury on anyone, except maybe LeBum or KD LOL, but I think if Mikal missed a game, he'd finish his career better. He plays not to get hurt over making the right aggressive play.
