I am less invested in this team than in the defective Brunson-Randall era. This doesn't sting.

I wish that crew and Thibs got another shot together. We should've been patient and added a center later
Anti Thibs routine ain’t working. Only 2 PF this game.
Zero excuse for this

KAT is winning me over this series. No doubt, he's the only reason why these games have been competitive. At this point, he should be the fulcrum of everything we do. I'm still baffled by Brown going small to start the 4th without KAT for those 3 minutes. It cost us the game because we got literally nothing out of those guys

Yes, right--every year makes it look more and more that we overpaid for Bridges.

KAT has actually been good on defense this series. Taking him
Out the last defensive possession just beyond stupid
blkexec wrote:martin wrote:Knicks got Sochan and decided to go with Shamet and Deuce on that defensive play where CJ drain what was an easy’ish shot for him.
Bad coaching move and I’m a deuce fan. But CJ needed more length on him to guard that very predictable and every 35+ step back move we all seen coming, except Mike Brown. I rather see Mikal on CJ.
Unit last defensive possession shoulda been KAT-Mitch-OG-Mikal and Hart

Great guy but wow. Thibs is somewhere doing pushups right now. NO KAT NO RINGS
If JB don’t pass, NO BLING
Thibs is throwing up laughing now while still getting paid by Dolan.
I would take Chris Jent at this point over Brown.
This is how uncreative brown has been
Or go to KAT

I agree 100%...at the midway point I put more blame on KAT vs Brunson but if you had to pick between the two (since you can't effectively play both at the same time) I would no doubt move Brunson as the ball sticks too much with him. I don't care how clutch he is and I understand he will probably come back and win us 1 of the next 2 games with his hero ball. Doesn't matter when we can't unlock or come close to maximize the talents around him. Much rather a pass first guard that can defend adequately. I know we wouldn't win with Alvardo but I would honestly rather play him vs Brunson because at least I know he tries to pass, defend and hustle. I grew up on 80s and 90s Knicks and hate this iso/hero ball! Won't happen but best thing Brown could try to do would be to start sitting Brunson when the ball doesn't move. At least I could respect Brown for trying something different instead of riding this crap style the rest of the way.
It’s not the line up so much as the pg
KAT and/oe Jalen needs to be on floor every minute. Brown did a better job of that but there were still stretches where both were on the bench and our offense ground to a halt. Team was expecting Jalen to hog the ball even when he was on the bench.
We need to move the ball KAT needs more touches as does Mikal
We can win this but we need to smarten up

Bridges has been a disappointment but I also don't think we use him right. I think his optimized utility is as a no.2 scorer, which we can't accomodate with KAT here (or Randle). It's why I still think the best move was figuring out how to dump Randle, slide Bridges into his role as no.2, then use Randle's money to retain iHart who is incredibly underrated as a facilitator at 7"0'. That dude could see over the defense and dimed up cutters like regularly.

Crazy enough, I still think we win this series. It's too hard for the Hawks to score outside of McCollum hero-ball. At 34 years old, I wouldn't be surprised if those legs start getting heavy and he flames-out. Outside of him, the Hawks have nothing in the half-court, which swings the series in our favor. These games have been close and won on the margins. McCollum at a fraction of what he is offers the Hawks no room for error.

Brunson has his utility, particularly as a decoy. The Hawks are still sending two at him which opens people up. The problem is that we have no secondary action if/when Brunson kicks out. It far too often becomes someone barrelling into the lane and getting the ball deflected, which fuels the Hawks' transition game. Outside of that and CJ's iso game, the Hawks have no offense....but we insist on playing to their strengths.

Some called me a Thibs hater and even I didn’t think we needed to fire Thibs. We just needed a Steve Kerr type offensive mind or whoever has the offense creativity (added to Thibs staff) Brown is just a new version of Thibs. Still need someone with offensive creativity or breakup KAT and JB.
This team is
STOOPID
Brown is stoopid
Brunson is stoopid
I'd rather have a Yakuza gang bukkakke on my face than watch that first quarter again
How does this fckng tard PG not get KAT any touches in the first quarter while ATL is whipping their stoopid asses?
And how does Brown keep playing Jose as the backup PG when he is just a cnt hair north of useless?
Fck this team
Hawks in 6

Sir, I need you to Google "bukkake" again before committing to this comment. That's a sticky situation to be in lol

I get what you're saying but Thibs was always a better coach than Brown IMO. The problem was that Thibs was too much of a one-man show and would've iced out input from an offensive coordinator on the bench. It was telling we lost Johnnie Bryant to the Cavs, who took the same associate head coach position with them. I was worried we'd continue hemorrhaging talented assistant coaches if he stuck around.

McCollum eats a live rabbit for breakfast and sniffs puff mushrooms in the tunnel before running out for game time introductions.
I once saw CJ McCollum dribble through a field of grizzly bears to dunk on a nest of bald eagles.
Then he turned around and dribbled back through the field of grizzly bears and raw dogged every woman in red on the first page of this thread.
Scarlett Johanssen was screaming at Anne Hathaway to hurry TF up because she needed her daily dose of Vitamin CJ.
And you think he will get tired?
