Knicks · GameThread: Playoff Game#4, Knicks try again in Atlanta, 6pm NBC Peacock (page 7)

Well, everything said by folks about running the offense through KAT was validated tonight.
That, plus the basic fact that the best defense wins in the playoffs, and you have your recipe for this team.
Not to kick him when he is down, but I'm not sure this team needs Brunson, just good basic PG skills to facilitate the rest of the team.
If they can repeat this effort then they should move past ATL and find out if they can turn it up to the next level vs. CLE.
They need to get Mitch unlocked now if they are going to face CLE. They have real bigs.
Best case scenario is Brunson adjusts immediately and plays within himself in service of a KAT-led attack.

He has been playing well throughout. Jalen was playing keep away like Isiah Thomas did to MJ in all star game.
we need to play through KAT. He's unselfish sometimes to a fault, but he pulls their meager sized bigs out of the paint whether it's to pass or shoot, and he's a very willing passer.

I've been trying to master this look for years.
is this the "Let's Dance" guy from SNL?
ToddTT@ 4/25/2026 9:38 PM
That was close to a best case scenario.
More of that please.

Brunson, for all of his offensive greatness, is not really that good a dribbler or decision-maker passer
Even his dad knows

So happy and relieved. That was EXACTLY what the doctor ordered. Long way to go, KAT, OG - huge!

I know you meant Julius Randle. You don't have to pretend for us.
I’m looking forward to that game tonight.
Donte and Ant injured. And some dumb c**t is on TV instead of the game.
Good grief.

Still don’t know how they won that one

no I wash it pretty regularly. Passed 2 bar exams with it on won multiple fantasy leagues wearing it in the draft and wore it under suits in job interviews for jobs I’ve been hired to. The letters on it are all cracked from the washing and drying but it still works. My ace in the hole.

...sir, you need to wear that shirt everyday until June. Not sure what you've been doing all this time...

The ball movement and defensive were glorious tonight. We featured players who have a physical advantage. OG and KAT were beasts. The ball didn’t stick.

Things are lining up for us as a dark horse challenger to the title. The only team that concerns me is OKC and injuries can quickly change that. They are already down J-will

Where was this the last 2 games man!?!?
fitzfarm@ 4/26/2026 12:09 AM
Man I’ve been waiting for a game with this kinda energy for the entire season. It only took for our backs to be against the wall to play with actual controlled 1000% effort that thibs demanded on a day by day basis.
We need to play this way every second of every game from here on out. If we can sky is the limit for this team. We are one of the most talented and deep teams in the league and we have KAT NO ONE BUT US has a player who can’t be stopped there’s not one team who has a answer for our big man.
If the magic shock the world and actually beat the pistons, this team has no excuse but to make the chip. As we all know from the start of this season it’s championship or bust.
Now let’s go home and take care of business. When we are firing on all cylinders the hawks don’t stand a chance in hell.
fitzfarm@ 4/26/2026 12:14 AM
Also the starting four runs so freely without Brunson… love our captain… but maybe Jose or miles in with the starting core just gets everyone going and touching the ball… when Brunson went out we really blew the cover off this game to a point of no return for the hawks… no ball pounding just beautiful basketball.
martin@ 4/26/2026 12:16 AM
