I found myself wondering the same about him and the other characters we had over the years. Life gets in the way often. The pessimist in me often wonders how many other Crushalot's are out there that use to be regulars once upon a time.
For sure, assuming it's not a crushalot situation, I hope these former posters (especially the true fan, not cry-over-everything-types) are enjoying the Knicks still, and it it is a Crushalot-situation then RIP

Kids. Lots drop off when their kids take their life over
50yo +/- 5 years, that's typically the dropoff range for some.
Fishmike was for sure part of the UK dynamic for years!
Hope all is good.
Lots of dudes fall off.
My take on Bonn1995 is he tripped and fell into a snowblower. That, or he found a women and once he got some there was nothing else!
Mr. Briggs? He either has moved on or is really Elon Musk and got way too busy.

Same. To be honest, I had a bit of a hiatus myself and I don't go back as far as most. I felt I had an unhealthy obsession with the game at that point and needed to re-calibrate the extent I engaged with things. But like Martin said kids and other life-changes as well as social media probably are the biggest culprits.
Not to move the conversation away from fishmike but I've found myself wondering what happened to guys like BONN and callmened all the time. I remember old timers like arkrud. And whatever happened to the guy that use to post-draft analysis of every prospect to ever exist? I remember him being a right-winger and having health issues he said would be fatal in a few years. In retrospect, I think he had a good heart and I do wish him well. Do you know who I'm talking about?

MR.BRIGGS! I was trying to remember his name! I remember him saying he had major health problems. I hope he's okay....at the very least let's the opportunity to see a title before anything happens to him.

Random question but do you guys collect demographic info from us? I know we've shared a bit about each other in the past, though I've always wondered what the age spread was/is. I'm 38 and assume most are probably millenial aged too.

You know Bonnie went for the full glory and didn't make his way back out and is better for it lol

Oh god no, it's just my guess. Most of the old timers came over after the NYTimes and a few other forums went up in flames. RealGM is where most landed and then here. I think. In the beginning, I'd guess most were in the 20-40+ range but guess more than anything.
Good nerd style breakdown

you're thinking of Briggs.
I liked Knickluva a lot too. He was active during the Phil Jackson tenure

its why i've been confident, even when ATL was up 2-1 we were still winning most of the series.
CJ was playing out of his mind and Brunson was struggling, things are evening back out now and we are simply a better team.
LivingLegend wrote:LivingLegend wrote:- Kat simply brilliant again
- same for OG (amazing how he dunks, from flat footed with guys hanging on him and thus far snuffing out J-Johnson)
- Brunson D is truly NON-EXISTENT
- Mikal right now takes the GOOD out of good basketball player (rarely have I seen a quality NBA player shrink to such an extent)
- great nights from Mitch, Jose and again Clarkson playing reasonable
- Josh I did not notice as much as last nightWith the big lead it felt like this game went on for 4 hours and clock would just not run out -- kept waiting for that magical Hawk run where Kispert hits 12 3's in a row to beat us.
We REALLY REALLY need to close this out on Thursday -- don't let this get to a game 7 you knuckleheads.
Oh - forgot - JB pretty good on offense.
Dyson Daniels effect. Can only guard 1 player. Guard JB, KAT gets a triple double. Guard KAT, Brunson scores 39.
That Hawks team has a good core though. Even if this isn’t their year, I expect to see a lot more of them.

Night and day from last year.
Not for nothing but I'd bet the main goal of the season in terms of which player the coaching staff would spend the most time integrating into their plan would be getting the best version of KAT going. This was the #1 task for Brown and staff, with everything else either already well established or known and just fitting them around him while doing the best things for them too.
Last night was the goal and now they have to figure out how to maintain it with all the best teams planning and playing against them. Don't want to get ahead but Mazzula got a lot more tools to try.
night and day from even a couple of months ago really. We are best when KAT is looking to facilitate and defend. he went through such a horrid stretch where he was just trying to barrel into defenders and score every time AND not defending. I had lost almost all hope with him.
Interesting to see Shamet relegated to the bench after being such a big piece all season. He shoots at an elite level, defends and can handle the ball, don't understand why he's not getting ANY minutes.
Maybe the next series will provide more op for him.
I'd guess injury and just not getting his Stella groove going on.
His plus minus lately has been Fournier-esque.
Chandler wrote:LivingLegend wrote:I think we do need to avoid coming out in game 6 and Jalen trying to get 20 in 1st quarter.Just want to say --- Mikal is perfect 12th option on offense -- PERFECT.
Mikal will bounce back. People need to relax. If we meet Boston in a series he will be critical
Exactly. Teammates need to get him the ball going down hill and not treat him like a spot up shooter.
