I know I'm 82 but I am still around and waiting for the championship. One of my buddies who was a diehard Knicks fan and we always talked about the game and he was waiting for that championship chance. Well he pasted away almost a year ago. We said if they were in the finals we would go to the game together. Well if I go I will go alone and root for the both of us.

I never knew you were 82 years old. I guess it makes sense with the wealth of history and wisdom you shared over the years.

I am sorry to hear about your friend but happy to hear you will honor his memory. For all our sakes, I hope this run ends with a much-deserved title. I never thought we'd be in this position again as a 40 year old let alone if I was a fan for as long as you've been. I can't imagine how difficult it must've been rooting for this franchise before '71/'73 and after.

Segue but how many of you guys plan on actually going to the games? I've been feeling the call and might try to get into a San Antonio game. Not sure if anyone would be interested in tagging along solo.

I find it very cool that ALL of our players now face the ULTIMATE MOMENT in their careers.

It's kind of put up or shut up --- NYC IMMORTALITY is within their grasp and for some god forsaken reason I think this group is going to rise to the occasion.

Really...really want it for this team....HOPE THEY PLAY THEIR BEST.

Watch for the following to happen:

Knicks defenders (any of them, KAT, OG, even Hart) may start screening Wemby down low and FRONTING him a lot so he cannot step further into the paint to intimidate a Knick driver or mid-range shooter.

IOW, I expect they may use Wemby's height against him and start to push him UNDER the rim during our offensive sets to box him in to limit his defensive options and make it harder to board our misses.

Also, Shamet is likely to trigger some epic runs with 2-3 quick threes. He has been microwave ready these playoffs and I expect we'll see some kind of eruption keyed off his 3 & D energy.

100%. I don't recall rooting for a team with a group of such likeable players. Really want it for them as they've brought us so much entertainment and enjoyment this season, especially the past month.

OG will be a tough guard for them on the other end as well. They will need Wemby to be free to help.

But we can make Wemby WORK and need to play 40+ mins a game.
