Just pure shot-making

Leon Rose just put on an anti tank masterclass building this team. Yes, mistakes were made along the way but, the culture and character of this team is amazing. The fit and the chemistry is amazing. The talent is elite. In discussions with the greatest teams ever as we watch them try to win the finals!!

Take a bow Leon.

Not many mistakes were made tbh. It's hard to think of any of the major moves as mistakes at this point.

the Obi pick was the big blunder. There were times when some of the trades were looking iffy as well. but they have all now looked great.

a low key huge trade was getting Hart for a late 1st.

I wasn't even thinking back that far I guess, but yea that would be considered a blunder for sure. Didn't make sense at the time, and time didn't work in Leon's favor like it has with the Mikal and KAT trades.

Basically every draft day trade his first 3 or 4 seasons plus the Obi pick. What's amazing is we've been able to overcome a lot of those draft errors to get where we are!

I wasn't a huge fan of the OG trade initially, probably b/c we get attached to homegrown guys and RJ was such a high character guy. Combined with OG's injury issues... but man was I wrong on that. And that's even with RJ blossoming into an efficient scorer.

KAT trade looked iffy as well, especially since we really missed DDV, but THIS kAT is just a completely different player. and Shamet has been that DDV replacement I hoped he could be, I mean maybe even better in ways because his defense and low usage really fits on this team.

The Obi pick definitely lit a fire under Randle because he was a totally different player the following season. If Randle doesn’t improve significantly we don’t get KAT.

The 1 or 2 player drafts thing is over. 2019 was supposedly a “2 player draft” yet the neither of those guys are even the best players from that draft. Players staying in college longer or being developed overseas in European pro leagues has changed player development so you can get good players in the late first round or second round.
