I know I'm a broken record about Kolek, but he's a better shooter than Alvarado and he's much better ball handler than either of them and our offense typically locks in when he's on the floor. We really need to pair one of those two with Kolek, but the two of them should never be on the floor together. I'd even prefer Clarkson to handle the ball over GTA and Deuce.
It is my only remaining complaint, because otherwise Brown deserves all the compliments in the world for getting us to play elite ball at both ends of the court.

Take away the 6 Hack a Mitches and the FT disparity is 15 to 27. The raw physicality was pretty insane. To win despite the lack of calls is the most impressive part. Brunson had a rough shooting night but had 5 steals. These guys keep their head in the game and very few mistakes.

Yes, it is this team's biggest weakness ATM.
Even Brunson is not great at advancing the ball. He's fantastic after he clears double coverage at mid-court, but he's susceptible to turnovers from half-court pressure.
Mostly, we overcome the issue by passing it forward to the open man and then quickly moving it to the next man to generate fresh floor spacing.
Next season keep an eye on McCullar. He's a better player than either Deuce or Alvarado with competent ball handling abilities.

I’m with you. This knock on Deuce is unfair. For starters, that backcourt violation was a bad call. The commentators were questioning it. The pushes on top of the length from the Spurs is hard to protect the ball.
Home court tends to get the calls. Is what it is. But I wouldn’t make this a criticism of Deuce. He plays the right way. And can get hot from 3 and make his own midrange shot.
Not for nothing but Knicks are surviving Detroit level physically combined with very good but inexperienced skill in these Spurs players. Knicks are playing well but not even near their ushhhh

Deuce is streaky and not looking to get rid of him. He and Alvarado are horrible as pgs though. Chew up clock. Stop flow and can’t create their own shot let alone others.
He is very good situationally.
