I don’t know why but when I see stats like this I wonder what Thibs is thinking. I’m not a thibs hater and think he gave it his all but when he sees stats like this does he look at the Knicks and find areas where he can learn or does he just shrug it off.
The fact that we now look forward to KAT and JB being on the floor together is the mother-of-all 180s
It took all of training camp, preseason, regular season and 2 games into the playoffs for Brown and the Knicks to figure out KAT/JB. It's weird to me to not understand why it would also take a shortened roster and a trade the first days of the training camp for that path forward would not happen quickly?
Snapping the fingers doesn't always just work?

Because SA going into MSG down 0-2 is a death sentence and they know it. I cannot even begin to imagine what MSG will be like for game 3. So if we can somehow pull this out tonight then wow, we may just sweep.
They gave effort game one all the same. The issue is that Knicks aren't going to just let them do as they please. Public has been disillusioned all playoffs that all these teams that the Knicks faced have had a choice in the matter.
Knicks are the better *team* with veteran experienced players. Without ref help they're "gonna get this work". Spurs had a 14pt lead with 6 mins left in the 3rd and proceeded to get walked down and outscored 54-30 the rest of the game. When Knicks were up 14-7 early Spurs got 4 fouls to kill Knicks momentum and going into the half Spurs had 12 FT attempts to the Knicks 1.
you're right to an extent, good points. And wow 54-30 against that team on their own floor is a helluva run.
The Knicks have been so locked in, bucking the trend of standard ebb and flow playoff series and winning those games the other teams almost always win (i.e. games 2 and 3 against Philly and CLE), I fully expect them to come out and play like the desperate team and win this game.

Mentality of the team has been what champs are made of. So many times this 12 game run they could have taken their foot off the gas. When they were up 3-0 in a series going into game 4. Or down 22 or 14pts in game one with the ability to use the layoff as an excuse.

Hoping to run into and get a pic with CP The Franchise.
When all is said and done, tonight’s game could define JB’s and KAT’s careers.
Not to be dramatic or anything.

They win tonight, and it's over.
I mean, its not over, because that would be a jinx (but it would be over... Shhh...)

He's the worse!
Tony Brothers is reffing tonight’s game. Expect a free throw fest for spurs
Do certain refs actually favor one team vs another we just feel like they not for knicks given thats mostly what we watch?
Im of the mindset that a 12 game win streak thru the playoffs are proving knicks are just too good for any ref to interfere, or perhaps our team is getting conspiratorial love in their direction.
What is the logic for league to not at the very least be neutral for Knicks?

I don't think we just figured it out. We definitely had prolonged periods of beautiful basketball followed by wtf.
for sure, we definitely found a new gear and I hope that gear shows up tonight!!!

Holy crap! This just got real!
We don't need no stinkin' stealing
We take what we own!
We own what we take!

Mouth watering while I respond here BUT I agree -- this isn't about stealing a game now it's about will we come out with enough force/execution to just beat them. Anyone looking at us as an underdog is a bit delusional at this point.
If Wemby somehow walks into a few 40/20 games ok but think onus is on Spurs now to steal from us - at least game 2.
BlueKnickers wrote:Wemby's defense is scary, but SA has to watch his gas tank and rest him during the gameWe just need to continue capitalizing on those stretches when Wemby is sitting and we should be fine
If we start building leads with Wemby on the floor then they are well and truly fcked
Yes - this is only a 1 day rest game for Wemby -- he may be great tonight but it will be interesting to see how he moves and holds up.
Game 3 has 2 full rest days in between so think we need to get this one tonight.
