Ugh

martin @ 6/8/2026 11:55 AM
There's gotta be a betting line on when the game will actually start, right?

On time? 15 minutes late? 30?

What's everyone think?

He wanted me to go with them but I said "I want to see everything and my big screen TV will do that for me". Unless I was inside MSG, I think the best place is in my couch and listening to Breen.

But Trump will say they were chanting his name every time they boo.Negativity at the Garden, controversy, obvious disregard for the fans, when everything was running so smoothly. You don't invite chaos when things are so perfect. Dolan should know better. You don't mess with the energy and good vibes, Dolan is an idiot. Hopefully, Jeremy Lin back at the Garden brings back the joy of the Linsanity with days. Also Trump can backout because he should be doing something more important,

Trump might not get booed as much as normal with an 8K per seat and up audience. I would imagine it turns into one of those weird mixes of cheers and boos that just sounds like a whole lotta noise, similar to when Knicks fans take over an arena and chant lets go Knicks while the rest of the arena drowns it out with boos.

But either way, I expect him to be in a box, out of sight, and mostly ignored by production crews outside of a quick callout in the arena and on the broadcast. Dolan most likely will try to shield him from relentless boos as much as he can with his production team.

I would normally agree and I'm strongly considering just staying home but this is a once in a lifetime thing and I want to be with other psycho fans like me LOL

Marc Davis

Curtis Blair

The officiating crew is set for Game 3 of the NBA Finals at MSG. 🗽

How do we feel about these refs?

Time we take the refs names and include them in prayer. May they be blessed and their families. 😂

Popped into the Game 2 thread after the game. Was a NYT Knicks forum poster and used to post here a bit, but felt like my inability to actually watch the Knicks since moving to VA would have me rely too much on stats and selective replays. But I’ve never stopped watching and supporting the team…while also hating to support Dolan in any way.

I’ve/d been second guessing everything the organization has done in the last few years and can not deny that I LOVE being so wrong. I was one when these guys last won a chip. The memory of Riley calling the wrong number again in ‘94 is still etched in my brain. The ‘99 run was fun, but (as much as I hoped) I was never convinced they would beat the Spurs…I knew they had the ability, it just seemed that everything was favoring the Spurs.

So, here we are, back again…too long a wait, but such a joyous run…except for the officiating. I feel like I am pretty objective despite my desire for the Knicks to win. But these calls remind me of the classic ‘90s Bulls match ups…one sided calls. It's not the number of calls that matter, but their impact that is the issue...so thinking they even out statistically doesn't address who they truly affect the game. The bad calls against the Knicks and the missed calls against the Spurs have had way too much effect on the game. Brown is too classy to whine like Phil always did for the Bulls and Lakers. The plus side is the announcers, analysts, writers, and fans have thankfully been quite vocal in noting these discrepancies.

I'm not tryna or meaning to be tinfoil hatty about this, that any fix is in. It's just that I would think even the league realizes having the Knicks in the finals a time a two a decade and winning a ring once every decade or two only benefits the league. But ever since the accusations of a fix when the Knicks got the #1 for Ewing, it almost seems like they're doing everything they can to make it as hard as possible to the Knicks to even get to the finals. And we're not blind, we know the incompetence of Dolan was and remains legendary. He just lucked into handing the keys to Rose and letting him create and execute a plan...one that was not guaranteed to work, but work it has.

Have never been a fan of league's determination to have a primary face. Before Jordan, we had Johnson, Bird, Thomas, etc. ...all-stars from around the league elevating the game and sharing the wealth of chips. But then the league went all in on Jordan and decided having him be the face of the league and its champion was the best way to maximize the brand. Then they seemed to shift this mentality to the Lakers w/ the Shaq and Kobe duo, and then it was all about LeBron…with others allowed share in glory here and there. Now it’s all about Wemby and I feel like I’m just supposed to fall in line. I'm disinterested in the greatness of non-Knicks, them or their teams being the foundations of the next dynasty, nor buying into the that Wemby will be next the hoops god. He may be one day (and he may not), but not now…

Again, looking forward to tonight.

Noting that my long rants may be remembered by some of the NYT Knicks folks...sorry for my rambling. Cheers all.

Haven't smoke anything in about 5 years and it was about 17 or 18 before that.

Just been holding stuff in. Getting to watch the Knicks on the regular through the playoffs has me feeling like I can speak to something that I actually saw, instead of what others wrote about or created highlights from.

Cheers.

Time for Knicks to put belt to rump. Our role players haven't had big games yet, and role players often excel at home. So if Deuce, Alvarado, Mitch, Josh, Clarkson, prosper it will allow the starters to play even more efficiently. We will blow them out. Think positive, put away the Knicks PTSD

HofstraBBall @ 6/8/2026 3:53 PM
Here we go fellas.
0-0!
Spurs will come out strong. Think Wemby will look to get off to a good start. Think coaching staff will have more Harper in the game plan. He has been highly effective on both sides.
Knicks will need to harness all the excitement and energy the Garden will provide.
Can’t get too high or too low but play with desperation.
Hoping JB stays within the game and does not look to get out of a slump by overshooting .
Curious to see what adjustments they make for KAT. Have a feeling they will try to let Hart beat them.
Nervous but really feel the Knicks have a blow out win just waiting to come out.
Go Knicks!!

And F…. Trump!
