Not interested in KP either, but if any team could manage his time and health, it's been proven that it's the Knicks.
And for what it's worth, the Knicks didn't play a single start to finish great came in the Finals like they did in the playoffs. This was not because the Spurs were so great either...
-- shots just weren't falling, even for Kal and Bridges who were lights out for three rounds
-- the refs (league) were not letting them play their game...still seems they didn't want the Knicks to embarrass and break to the newly anointed and his teammates
But the Knicks, these Knicks, were not to be stopped. Yes, the Spurs lost as well as being beaten, but mostly because the Knicks would NOT quit. Their mentality and game plan were to get stops and sink shots. They fought like hell to make that happen against all odds. It's not just a maturity issue, it's a constitutional issue. The Knicks are made of sterner stuff than the Spurs. Underrated, underestimated, even dismissed by assumptions and entitlement. I wouldn't be surprised in the Spurs implode. There's a blueprint on stopping Wemby, and he pissed off the top opponents in the west...they won't go easy on him next season. Might it be better for Harper's career to not be partnered with Frenchy McFuchface?
Anyway, still obsessed with this team and them bringing a chip back to NY.

It's crazy how much sports can get to us. My wife and I have still have vivid memories of the 1996 Yanks, this was similar except bigger and better. The Knicks and Patrick getting his ring. Dolan's an asshat, but the organization did it. I've heard the rumors that his focus on the Sphere kept out of the the front office and let them do their job. Can't speak to the veracity of this information, but there's certainly a logic to it.
Congrats to the team, past and present, and all of us fans. Crazy ride filled with far too many downs, but this ultimate up is stellar.
That's a good one for the memory bank. 20 years from now you'll be talking about how you pulled into the driveway with minutes left in the game.
